    The Right Choice?

Since i can't play wow still im building a plan of how i should level and what class i should go again last time i was on a trial account i played a dwarf paly. I got him to 8 in 2 hours, having fun with him but since i couldnt upgrade that account im gnna have to start new again. These are my questions:
1: Are there any problems with a paladin?
    2: Which build is best?
    3: Are the builds complicated?
Thanks +rep for anyone who answers.

    Re: The Right Choice?

1: Problems with a paladin... Dont think so, they are only not a great tank, but they are not meant to be. They are great healers and great DPS.
2: For grinding u should take Retribution, together with Seal of Command(SoC) When u reach higher levels(raids) u should go to Holy. So people say from lvl 40 its better to go holy, but my paladin does just excellent without holy spec.
3: Not really. Just Holy = Healing Protection = Tanking Retribution = Damage

    Re: The Right Choice?

1: Are there any problems with a paladin? Yes, needed DPS
2: Which build is best? Retri spec for Leveling and PvP.
3: Are the builds complicated? No, Holy paladins are healing, Protection is Tanking (bad bad choise) and Retri paladins is DPS'ing (my choise)

    Np

    Re: The Right Choice?

the only problem with a paladin is getting close enough to kill your opponent but thats easily avoidable

the builds are as simple as this holy:healing protection:tanking (warriors are getting old) retributionion: dps and pvp

i perfer retribution over all cause of the good advantages in pvp
If guns kill people then can I blame my pencil for mis spelled words?

Better to respec for a raid spot then be forced to reroll. Like warriors wait till you to 60 and most ppl realize they dont nd a tank and u cant dps :-\

1: Are there any problems with a paladin?
--- Other than DPS and taking as long as mage does to kill 2 monsters, as you do to kill one?

    2: Which build is best?
    --- Wouldn't know.

    3: Are the builds complicated?
--- No build is complicated... just find one that people like and stand behind, and just figure it's good and use it.

Just roll a class that can dish out the DPS, and fast.
AKA: In most cases anything but a Paladin or Warrior (they can do good dps, but not until way later on)

    Re: The Right Choice?

My favorite class is mage. You really feel like you have freedom in the game when you can portal or teleport to any major spot you want to go from anywhere you are at. You do tons of DPS and critting a mob for 6 thousand damage + 40% ignite is pretty damn satisfying. Plenty of crowd control, slow fall, blink, blah blah blah...

As far as pally goes there are some good pally tanks now, most pallys out tank warriors now. If you want to tank go pally. The thing about the 'healers in end game' well, thats going to be shaman and paladins will have a more mage-like roll where they off tank and heal rather than just being healbots.

Pally is an ok choice, depends on playstyle.

    Re: The Right Choice?

There's no problem with paladin besides my character is a paladin. And I don't see anything wrong with it. In build I just don't know maybe you should find that is good to use and this is not complicated.

    Re: The Right Choice?

The MAIN problem with a paladin is that people keep bitching about respeccing holy

spec what you want if u like priests then go holy but if u want pvp pwnage go ret and if people complain then your server sucks or your in the wrong guild

    Re: The Right Choice?

The paladin class is a great class! Rolling a paladin (dorf palas > all) is indeed a good choice.
Retribution isen't really good damage per second, however, 'tis great burst damage every like 10second you can dish out amazingly damage.
Protection can tank, it's great fun & action, and amazingly solo / PvP spec.
Holy has some nice survivbility, it can heal and spell damage! And.. as you probably knew, healing. No, in endgame you dont need to spec holy. It's not a "sad truth" i am myself, holy though, but i enjoy healing really. The paladin class is able to smack all other if you know how to play (Easy to play, abit harder to master) It's great, you should really level it up.
Paladin has no problems at all! Only newbies have problems.
Builds are not complicated, perhaps when you're lvl 20 ;-) But it's easy to find a build you like if you read them properly through. I hope this answers all of the questions you may have. Pm me if you need something!
