Account to Account transfer

So this is the deal, I have a character on one account that I want to transfer to another account, I've heard from several people that you can do this even if the names on the accounts dont match.
However, blizzard policy says that the names on the accounts has to match.
So my question is, has anyone ever tried transferring a character to an account with another name on it than it's original account? If not, do you know wether it's possible?

The last names need to match. As in, be 100% identical.

If they're not, it will say "the destination account does not meet the transfer requirements".
