Yea that would be considered a scam. b/c you are telling them you will give x amount of gold if they give x amount of points.

so if you dont pay you are scamming them out of there 600g and they just gave you x amount of points for nothing.

they prolly would report you, however, i doubt there is anything that can be done about it.

Thank you captain obvious. and yes it is technically a scam because both parties agreed on a set value for another value (in your case Gold for Points you cant earn yourself) and if neither party doesnt confront with the said item it is stealing or scamming

Wrong. This is technically not considered scamming. Arena point trading, while not bannable, is not supported by Blizzard in any way, and if you are scammed in this way, no action will be taken.

Conversely, if someone is thinking of getting into the scamming business with this in mind, I can say that it is a very poor idea to do so. Not only is this hugely detrimental to your reputation on a realm, we've been known to have sudden (much like a tsunami, or an earthquake) changes of heart on issues of this nature if it looks like someone is willfully attempting to take significant advantage of our willingness not to involve ourselves in certain transactions.
Note: These posts are from the WoW US forums, not WoW EU. WoW EU has a very different policy from WoW US. These quotes do not apply to WoW EU players in any way.

Hope that clears things up for you folks.

I have been wrong once, yes, but it was in a dispute between WoW US and WoW EU policies, so technically I wasn't "wrong", per se. My specialty is WoW US policies.

This also means that the above post applies to US policies. Do not come complaining to me if you're on EU and you do this and you get banned.
