Changing Your Name

Well i've been reading this forums a lot for the last 6 months, but I never made a post and I have come into a bit of a dilemma. I had transfered my character about 8 months ago and I accidently didn't make a character and the name stayed. I have tried many methods to change my name, but I have not yet found a GM that will change it no matter what I say. If anyone knows any strategies I could try then that would be great, and I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!

Say the characters name was your brothers nickname and that it hurts you to read it since he recently passed away. Or some sob story similar I've heard works
