The olympic games of Exploration

Hello fellow explorers. I hereby present you the first (and most probably only), non annual (but totally casual), olympic games of Exploration ! (it has nothing to do with the olympic games except for the metals of the medals)

This event will test your strength, your will, your knowledge, and other random exploration skills, on up to 12 tasks. Quite like the 12 labors of Hercules. But since we don't have only one Hercules around here, I will attribute Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals to the top 3 winners of each task.
A gold medal will reward 3 points; silver 2 points; and bronze 1 point. The total of points for each competitor will create a ranking, upon which a grand winner will be determined at the end of the competition.

To prevent cheating as best as possible, videos or screenshots will be required for each task. And I reserve the right to disqualify someone's performance if it sounds too fishy. But please be fair and play nice, we're only here to have fun!
Additional note : even though I have my own ideas on how to get the best results, some tasks are voluntarily loosely formulated in order to allow unexpected outcomes. Please surprise me/us !

And without further introductions, here will be your tasks :

1) Trial of faith
=> Make the longest (duration) jump using only noggenfogger elixirs, and land alive.
A video of the whole jump is required.

2) Trial of speed
=> Achieve the highest speed increase.
Only a screenshot is required for proof.

3) Trial of the colorblind
=> Get the maximum amount of different ground textures in a single screenshot.
That screenshot is required : p

4) Trial of the wannabe bird
=> Reach the highest elevation in a jump (a jump starts when your feet leave the ground and end when they touch the ground again). Mounts/druid forms aren't allowed.
A video of the whole jump is required. And since I have no way of knowning the exact maximum height, I'll judge visually, and based on what items or skills were used (for example, a normal jump is lower than a jump with X-52 Rocket).

5) Trial of greed
=> Loot an item of the highest selling value while in an outmap location.
A screenshot of the loot at the outmap location is required. Then I'll use wowhead to get the best the merchant value.

6) Trial of the explorer's postmaster
=> Send a mail to yourself using a mailbox in an outmap location. And read it using another mailbox in another outmap location. (I think it requires two characters since you can't send mail to yourself)

7) Trial of the confused cartographer
=> Visit the same place in the most different locations. Open areas don't count, select landmarks.
A screenshot of the place at each location is required. It doesn't matter where you are in that place, for example : a screenshot at the base of a statue in mapid A is valid, a screensho at the top of that same statue in mapid B is also valid.

8 ) Trial of the social skills
=> Bring the most people to an exploration location.
A screenshot of all the characters in that place is required for proof. Feel free to remove usernames.

9) Trial of madness
=> Do an exploration while blindfolded. (quite eager to see where this one goes)
Required for proof : webcam + desktop capture. OR record a video of your monitor at the start location, turn the monitor off, and turn it on again when you're done.

10) Trial of the magpie
=> Get as close as possible to the giant orb in Vashj'ir, alive.
A screenshot of your char next to the orb (or as close as possible to it) is required. What happens before or after taking the screenshot is not my business

11) Trial of the lost adventurer
=> /pray to an dead soul in an outmap location. You must not kill that thing, another player's corpse or your own corpse don't count.
A screenshot of the emote next to it is required for proof.

12) Trial of the dumb luck
=> Have someone reply to one of your jokes in blizzard's default channels, while not physically in the good location for that channel.
A screenshot of the reply from that player is required : the channel location must be visible and different from where you're actually supposed to be. You can remove the username of that player (and yours). An example to be clearer : I enter ortell's hideout (one not in silithus) and speak with someone in the silithus General chat.

And that's it !
If more than one participant achieve the same task (or achieve the best score on a task), the gold medal will be awarded to the first player that finished the task. Otherwise the best score will receieve the gold medal. (same for silver and bronze)
A bonus of 12 points will be awarded to whoever completes the full 12 tasks.

The event will end in 15 days, or precisely the 01/05/18 at 00:01 Paris time.
I'm still not sure whether I should split US/EU or not since some trials could be won simply by being the fastest with free time. Let's say no for now but I might split some on the way.I will have the final word in case of conflicts but I'll gladly take your opinions if you think I'm wrong on some decisions and rankings. (mostly for trial 4).
On the impossible chance that multiple participants get the same amount of points at the end of the event, for the first 3 places, an additional task will be created to untie them.
You can complete the trials in any order you want, and you don't need to complete every task before uploading your proofs. You can edit your posts to show better results until the end of the event.

Feel free to posts questions or ask specific stuff ("will this thing be allowed for trial X ?") on this thread or by PM.

Every screenshot and video must have a proof that it was made AFTER this thread. Open WoW's calendar, windows clock or whatever but I do need to see clear evidence that the screenshot/video wasn't made 2 years ago.
Please state if you're US or EU on your first post. (since I might split trials as state above)

Lastly: I was hesitant on giving out rewards because I want this to be a fully fun event. But I also really want to see someone perform a blindfold exploration, so here are some incentives.
- 1st place winner will be rewarded whatever two items he desires the most in the blizzard store.
- 2d place winner will be rewarded an ingame item or service of his choice (mount/pet/faction change/...) on the blizzard store, or a wow token.
- 3d place winner will be rewarded a wow token, for his efforts and the time spent to do these stupid tasks and not even winning.

Whatever is the highest, feel free to use any combination of skills/potions and everything else. Even if the buff stays for 1sc as long as you make a screenshot at the right time I'm fine with it.

A video of the climb at speed x1 is required to validate the time. The first jump must start at ground level.
Edit : Apparently this one is impossible, I'll replace it tonight with either another wall (I would like to keep a wallclimb challenge), or something else.

And of course, you must wallclimb it the old way, only jumps are allowed. No DH double-jump/glide/felrush bullshit !

Can druids make use of Wild Charge in Boomkin Form? (Excluding Flap)

I meant to exclude flight form, magic broom and such. Because it wouldn't be fair and fun otherwise... I have no problem with wild charge, and I'll even accept that as a jump !
You can also flap but that won't give you much elevation I guess.

Also does Trial 1 disallow things like pre-jump material? (rocket boots etc)

It's the duration that counts, not the distance. (though it may be better to anticipate a long distance for a longer jump)
The only thing is that you must not use any other mean to reduce your fall other than noggenfogger elixir. If you want to jump at a high speed you can do it, but I'm not sure I get the point...
Just don't use slowfall before you jump.

It's a perfectly acceptable exploration ! I only want you to reach an outmap location blindfolded, no need to explore the entire area.
