    Disabling the scenario fog

    Hi guys,

I have found some ways to disable the scenario fog temporarily and have not yet found something which does this permanently.
I decided to share everything I know as some of you may know an item or an ability which does this.

What I found out is the following:

Any item/ability which alters your vision (at least the ones I was able to test out) seems to disable the fog temporarily.

When in Ghost form there is no fog, but I'm pretty sure you all know the downsides of being dead.
Using any invisibility item/ability disables the fog, too.

Those are the two abilities I was able to confirm.
But I have a few theories, which abilities or items also could work:

There is a quest item from Felwood (Sindweller Blindfold - Item - World of Warcraft) which alters your vision, but it is only usable in the quest area. Maybe someone knows a quest item which would be usable anywhere.

I had no luck with Illidan's loot this ID but I have read that Cursed Vision of Sargeras - Item - World of Warcraft also alters your vision in some way, but I am not quite sure about this.

I'm not sure if Blix's Eyesight Enhancing Romance Goggles - Item - World of Warcraft really alters anything but the NPCs and players you see. That could be a permanent (two weeks lasting) solution.

Just a quick idea I had, which lasts only for about a second, is the altered vision when using a Demonic Gateway from a warlock. Sadly I don't have a high level warlock, but maybe someone could test this.

And at last, I'm not quite familiar with the Brew of the Month Brews and didn't find anything about altering your vision with any of them, so maybe one of those also has the desired effect.

At last I would like you to share your ideas about this and maybe something that would be permanent (and not a 15 second buff with 10 minutes cooldown)

    Greetings,
    Kaldonir

    Offline mode is your choice.

Like I said in the other thread, awesome find Kaldonir!

I've been messing around with my camera a bit lately to and have found some interesting bugs. Like the one I used in the end of my new vid, http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...g-pyramid.html (Strand of the Ancients: The Hidden Flag & Pyramid) . I've got an idea on how to bypass the fog in scenarios but am still too low lvl to enter them haha.

What "brasero" do you mean? Brazier of Dancing Flames - Item - World of Warcraft ?

I will try to get one of them but they don't seem to be very popular on the AH, even on a full server.

Well, that's true. Didn't think of this.

I've been asking myself how you did this camera thing, maybe you could share your idea, more people thinking about something often gives new results =)

So, I've been able to test the (rather expensive) Four Senses Brew and sadly it does not work.

Invisibility potion together with offline mode seems to work pretty well though, as long as you don't need to use abilities out there.

Probably it has something to do with the view distance, which is changed when invisible, but there may be other items which work that way.

Absolutely amazing find, Kaldonir. +7 rep for sharing this with the community! Lifting the scenario fog is something we all have wanted for some time. Looking VERY forward to getting back to WoW when I can to see this for myself.

So accidentally didn't refresh water walking while going blindly in fog in SoO And apparently underwater visual filter blocks the fog. Hopefully in some way helpful.

Edit: Apparently it is unique to siege of orgrimmar fog sadly
