Sadly i couldn't get my trial to Pandaria.
But I've found an alternative.

This alternative is the new challenge.

I would say this challenge is NOT insanely difficult for advances wallclimbers. But it's all I can offer you at the moment, I'm sorry for that, haha. Next time I'm going to find some more difficult stuff. Anyway, your comment calls for a prove (-;

More than 2 weeks have passed and still no results? Can't imagine that this is too hard to do. I'm going to upload my path now, might be a help for some people. I recommend to start the climb next to the entrance cave.

You don't need rocketboots when you get a few jumps closer or higher.


It's also possible to start next to the tower and to climb up there, but this way is quite a bit harder.

It is easy to reach the final ledge from there.

Hehe, that's a funny path you took.
But actually I don't consider that as "climbing". I think I wasn't strict enough with my rules, I should have added that you are not allowed to leave the shown area in the first screenshot. But since I did not write that, you surely solved the challenge.

However, I cannot agree with that:

Yeah I figured you didn't count on the rocketboot jumps but I kept failing at the wall climbing :P

You cannot go up to Ordos area.
You must start on the ground by this pillar, you may climb this pillar and the pillar next to it only (I only climbed the one pillar.)
You may use Rocket boots, Glider, Slowfall and any class abilities. (I used only Class abilities.)
Must be done solo.

This challenge may exclude some classes, I did it as Druid and as a Warlock. There is a clue in the middle picture.

I realized that this thread is called "Master of Climbing" and I was concerned about the fact that it hasn't even seen a real "insane wall" until now.
The main idea of wallclimbing is not about using class-specific abilities or unique items to reach places in a preferably fast time with just a few clicks.
For me, this counts to general exploration.

To climb an insane wall, to demonstrate the acquirement to climb more than 5, 10 or 30 jumps in a row, that's real wallclimbing in my eyes. It's the
ability to analyse the concistency of the wall and to decide in which angle to jump, how to face the wall and which speed to choose to get the next spot. I
read quite often (here too) that people are talking about luck-based-jumps. There are no luck based jumps in my eyes. Some spots are secure and easy to
get, others vary in their character and require a more special jump. It's like an art to manage all these climbing technique intricacies since
every wall is beautiful and unique. This is what wallclimbing is about. This is what represents the abilities of an experienced wallclimber.

Here comes a challenge that can only be solved by a master of climbing.



Insane Wall V - Old Hyjal (CoT3)

The wall I'm talking about is located right next to the green smoke and consequently not difficult to find.

So, what's the challenge about?

Prove in only one video clip (without fade out/in, cutting or other stuff) that you climbed AT LEAST 60 normal jumps up.
Of course you are allowed to climb up the whole wall. I consider it as possible. But I'm not able to prove that I did it.
For now, it's difficult enough to do just a part of it.



Rules: Only normal jumps are allowed. Nothing else. You have to stay in the shown area of the wall (yellow marked).
I recommend to take the same path as me in the video. We have tried several paths and we consider this one as the best.
