Sometimes I wish I was a mage. As a paladin I was also able to do this using the disconnect Macro to cause lag ( Not offline mode) and to skip past the portal without being thrown out.

If you're really interested you can use second world mode to check it out. There's a way to do it in STV.

There's an exact same object on the minimap far to the west of Vashj'ir as well. I couldn't seem to find it though. Perhaps it's underneath the world.

I could be wrong of course, but I don't think that's anything unfortunately. While making my Kalimdor/EK vids I saw various mini map splotches similar to that, and others that don't look like that at all, and they were all nothing. I also came back under the world for a few of them and again saw nothing. From what I've seen mini maps are buggy things, especially when you're in areas considered out of bounds. But def let us know if you find anything!

You were right, I checked it out and it was nothing, not even a different texture, the ocean bottom was all the same
