[Dragon Soul Exploration] Maelstrom~~LFR

Okay people, pretty simple to do, and nothing out there on this from what ive seen (sorry if this is a repost in any way).

What: Explore inside Maelstrom where final Deathwing Fight occurs

Background:
Basically i was in the 2nd half of LFR last week and killed Deathwing. While they were looting boss i decided to jump off the north edge where the portals are. It does the fall into nothing noise and i died, as if u fall into any hole underneath normal ground texture and other instances yadayadayada, but it did this and fell onto solid ground underneath the water. SO i thought maybe if i had a soulstone i rez right there, unfortunately there was no lock in the group and i couldnt retry it. butt...i got a rez and proceeded to run north again. fall noise, but i didnt not die, but i could seemingly move. i couldnt make sense of it and thought i did something that could lead to bigger things.

This week same deal, lfr, deathwing dead, no lock. i ran up north, same fall into nothing noise, fell on first level underneath water. gotta rez ran back in water, it made the noise but i fell onto the solid ground beneath the water. this time i saw my dude, and ran off the high platform onto the "seabed" took no dmg. i realized that the camera will not go lower than water level, it makes it hard to see. i could transform to other druid forms (not swimming and flying). from there u can find a ramp up to the edge of the map and just run around. i took some pictures and ultimately fell off a rock and into a very very deep valley from which i could not get out of nor could i see much.

Few pics of the exploration, attached. Maelstrom8 is where i got stuck and you want to avoid at all costs, very deep and easy to get stuck,
Maelstrom1 is me above sea level on the first ledge.
Maelstrom2-4 is a view of the portals from way off to the side.
Maelstrom5 is a view of the best camera angle i could produce while all the way on the seabed

Maelstrom7 appears to be one small patch of random texture, looks like a patch of the moon
Maelstrom8 the spot where i got stuck. it is deep as hell over here. (the part where deathwing is emerging from)

Here is some insight into your find, if you were curious...

Players can indeed be resurrected below the "death line". This is why you were able to explore once you rezzed after hearing the "woosh" sound. Check out tsantsa's Halls of Reflection exploration here and you will see this exploit clearly: http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...ploration.html

Looking at your images, this instanced Maelstrom from the Deathwing fight appears to have the same layout as the Maelstrom zone (accessed earlier in the game while questing). @WizardTrokair Ah I had no idea that was already discovered heh. It was probably the coolest part of our next video to hah. Oh wells we will probably release it anyway since it provides new information on the bug we're highlighting and credit the instance aspect.

Well it wasn't discovered in the dragon soul raid so it's still new (gratz dank1one since he's the first to release screenshots of it).
I did some far sight exploration there too but found nothing really amazing. I can share them if someone need

NanaCry, I think Aegean was referring to the "resurrecting below the death line" exploit being previously discovered... not the instanced Maelstrom exploration in Dragon Soul (which I agreed was new). Aegean had mentioned that dank1one was onto something, and that they are covering that exploit in their next video...

Aegean... I didn't mean to burst your bubble! But yeah, that exploit has been shown a few times before on OwnedCore. I am looking very forward to the next Imperious exploration though showing the new information on that glitch! You guys are coming up with some great stuff.
