Deeper Than Deepholm - Getting Underneath Deepholm

Hey guys, Strangletusk here with the third episode is this new sorta-series of mine, The Random Expeditions - explorations in the game world that don't really all belong to a set theme, but are cool nonetheless

This short episode shows you how to get UNDERNEATH the zone of Deepholm and fly unrestricted (surprisingly, there are no videos of doing that by any method on Youtube). You will need some method of increasing your size, like an Elixir of Giant Growth, Vrykul Drinking Horn or Gigantic Feast, or anything else that works similarly. I also show in this video what it is like flying under various areas in Deepholm, but sadly, no actual finds as a result of the exploration so far. I'll leave that bit to you guys!

I am informed by a casual exploring friend of mine that there is a hole in the world in the area outside of Deepholm which you can use to get underneath the zone, but I have no idea where - plus this method doesn't require you to get outside of Deepholm before getting under

Nice find + well demonstrated as always, Mr Strangletusk.

As for uses for this method: I think I've found one (though granted, it's not exploration). If you get under the zone as you show, and fly (staying low) to around [62.2,21.8] in the main Deepholme area and then fly upwards into the Crumbling Depths it's possible to get onto ledge with the rare spider mob that drops the mini-pet. Ordinarily you'd need to be on the randomly assigned daily quest + get lucky with the quest item's knockback to get up there.

Oh, and there is a massive black circle of doom on the base of the zone at [66,26] that resembles an "invisible hill" in that I couldn't fly directly down onto it, but could fly around it.

...and +1 rep to illas for a wonderful idea to use this exploration! I got my spider by doing the old "pull out the LAN cord" trick...failing many times before I succeeded. This would have been much more efficient!

Thanks Trokair! I just tested it and the co-ords that I gave seem fairly accurate, the biggest challenge was remembering that the ledge is a little *above* the standard height of the Crumbling Depths.

Oh, and I took another look at the black spot on the floor under the world at [66,26] and came up with... nothing. There is nothing above it in the zone that would explain it, nor any reason (that I can think of) for it to be colored black. Strange stuff, but perhaps it's just a leftover from all of the other stuff Blizzard has left outside/above/beneath Deepholme.
