Emerald Dream Accessible or Not?

Hey, I understand this IS a question, so I apologize for the inappropriateness now, but I just wanted something confirmed. Is there ANY way to enter Emerald Dream on a live server anymore? Is there a hack that could get you into it, or is there a tool similar to Otherworld that is in development for 4.0.3?

I appreciate any help I can get, I just don't know where to post this, and I figured you guys on the exploration forum could help me out. Thanks in advance

Well actually back in I think it was TBC, there was green smoke on the side of Hyjal that if you sat? In it I think I didn't play much of BC, stopped after Vanilla for awhile. Anyway yeh if you did some kind of macro or somethin in the smoke, it would port you to Emerald Dream.

OT: Nothing as of yet, and I doubt it. Blizz is most likely starting to build it again.

Is there a way to do this with the way the game files are set up now? I remember using that method awhile back, but the game's folder content has changed. Are there any new methods?

Again, nothing as of yet, Model Editors are no doubt trying to decode and find a way around the new file locks/structure. But yeh, not at the moment. Sorry.

There is currently no way to get to it on a live server, you can only get there on a private server. Don't think it would be possible to get there with a hack either.

Okay, thank you for the help. This is going to sound odd, but I remember reading a blog that a friend linked me, belonging to a developer for the game. They said they are rebuilding a new Emerald Dream for future content, but it is completely separate from the one we know from exploration videos. Something about there being a reason as to why they couldn't release the original ED, or something stopped them from finishing it. Subsequently, that is apparently why they built an instance around it, removing that green smoke exploit, because something was wrong with the zone, and they didn't want players getting inside.

Ever since I read that blog, I've been dying to get back inside of it (I went there once before in vanilla using the greensmoke/disconnect macro method), just out of curiosity for what was so drastic that made them close it off last second. If I find the blog I'll repost it somewhere. It was posted on this site back in 07, can't find it though -___-

Theres a few old videos on youtube I'm pretty sure. AQ Event was how many years ago, I don't have any screenshots on this computer sadly ]:, but I wouldn't say I got in there with that method if I didn't haha.

Relatively, except the way it worked for us wasn't an instance trigger. The way we did it was we used a disconnect macro to fall through the green smoke, and when we logged back in, we were dead inside Emerald Forest, when you hit release spirit, your ghost would be beside the corpse, allowing you to just simply respawn.

Now, from what my group understood from that is that Emerald Dream's physical location (non-instanced), is located under Hyjal. I tested this theory last week, using a glitch inside CoT to allow you to fly underneath Kalimdor. When you approach the area where you would have fallen through the green smoke, Blizzard has put up an invisible wall (underground), which leaves me to wonder if it is still really down there. The invisible wall, spans a box around the eastern bit of Hyjal, and Winterspring.

I'll see if I can make a video showing the location of the wall, its really random, because it is blocking the exact area you would fall through. Where else are there random underground walls?

I doubt that it is still there after the Cataclysm release. But ... Who knows. You can use XYZ hack and check

yeah, I'm going to test it out first thing tomorrow when I wake up. I'll throw up a video if I find anything notable. But I dunno, taking into consideration that part of the blog that said they couldn't modify ED's data, and then seeing the invisible wall RIGHT around the area you used to fall through, it makes me kind of curious. Can anyone link me to a working XYZ for a live server? Thanks a ton. Maybe we're on to something interesting here ;]
