To those saying it will be 4th expansion, it is too small for an expansion, and next one will probably be Maelstrom, Emerald Dream, and Grim Batol will open up as a raid. Then final one will be twisting nether and all that and we pew pew sargeras.

Lol... the level cap will be and always will (acording to blizz) 80.. wont be raised any more.emerald dream is coming as the 4th expansion, this list is of a blizzard event prior to classic wow release and held true until now.
so in the future.. each expansion pack will bring. 1new continent (ca.) and 1 New hero class
As far as i know
Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos. I'm an agent of chaos. Oh, and you know the thing about chaos? It's fair!
The third expansion is also the last one.
And about the level cap, it might be changed, blizz NEVER said for sure that it will stay at 80.
Emerald dream (according to the lore, ps, i dont know that much about it) is a place for druids to go.
Quotes from the lore:
One could say that Azeroth and the Emerald Dream are quasi-duplicates of each other — the Emerald Dream is Azeroth as seen through a magic lens, untouched by the hands of mortals. The Emerald Dream is the Azeroth that would not have been split by magic into the two landmasses of today — within it is the original greater landmass of Kalimdor, covered in the hazy emerald green forests of aeons past.Druids enter the plane through their connection with nature. While within the dream, the traveler can, through exercise of will, view the waking world and to a limited extent interact with it (as presumably all aspects of the world have some connection to the Emerald Dream). Accessing the Emerald Dream via more conventional magic is possible, but the plane’s natives do not look kindly on intruders.
the dragon is nothing, its just some random dragon they spawned, same one that is in sunken temple
THE DREAM IS HUGE! i recall something about it being azeroth before it was corrupted, so definitely expac potential there
It changes a little bit every patch, believe me
awesome ill have to check this out
wat i understand from reading a few things is that emerald dream is another world like outland seperate to azeroth ,where i forget her name now but a emerald dragon watches down upon azeroth she helped save the world from deathwing by giving her powers or somin and now she resides in the emerald dream ready to protect azeroth once more. I personally dont see how the lore ties in to allow adventurers into emerald dream unless there is another big batle again involving deathwing etc the wars wage on azeroth so if we are to fight it would b here not in the emerald dream
Every1 knows Jesus was a shaman, think about it the reincarnate, the waterwalking... comon he was cc'd d for days!
Pandaria - 1 to 10

...wait.
Richard rules!
Oh god the lore people just shed a tear.
The emerald dream is considered Everything the it was when it was perfect. The easiest way of thinking of it would be a beta form of azeroth. Everything is the same, but its all sharper, less eroded and clearer. There is also different levels in the emerald plane. The deeper you go through th planes of it, more ad more of azeroth disappears, as it it wasn't made yet. There might be giant holes of non exhistence.
it overlaps Azeroth, much like the ethereal plane in D&D.
it is the home of the green dragonnflight, as well as many druids like Malfurion. Cenarius, Aviana, and Malorne are also there, leading to beleive that ancients and other nature spirits go there upon death. Right now, Ysera, malfurion, the anciets and the druids are there battling the Emerald Nightmare, which may be Deathwing Neltharion, as he can go there too.
So yeah, theres more than enough that can happen, especially if the ancients ask for help.

Screw the Emerald Dream! I cant wait to see the Elemental Plane!!
I wanna fight some of those Old God's Elemental Lieutenants!
What? Why in the hell would they not change the level cap?
Yeah, No......3rd will NOT be last. We have Maelstrom, South Seas, Emerald Dream, Grim Batol, Twisting Nether, and quite a few places sealed off in Azeroth ATM. Chances are 80-90 is Maelsrom, Emerald Dream, Grim Batol...unlike the other expansions, it would not be limited to one land mass. 90-100 would be Twisting Nether where we finally kill Sargeras, as well as possibly fully-summoned Kil'Jaeden and the rest of the Burning Legion.
This made me cry. How can someone know THIS LITTLE about lore??? Ysera is currently in Dragonblight while her generals who have gone mad spew out of the emerald dream. Chances are that there is an old god there corrupting the dragons and all life.
So what can we expect in future expansion packs and this one?
-Death Wing and his brood, the Twilight Dragons inside of Grim Batol
-The Emerald Dream, and what is most likely an old god corrupting it
-Maelstrom, Neptulon, Queen Azshara. The Maelstrom and those who dwell in it are VERY tied to the old gods
-Sargeras, Kil'Jaeden, Burning Legion
-Plenty more, too lazy to post
With WotLK.....
-3.2 Should introduce the old god Yogg-Saron, underneath Azjol'Nerub
-What lurks inside of Ulduar? Could titans possibly dwell inside the ancient abandoned city?
-Icecrown Citadel will have The Lich King Arthas Menethil, the Frostbrood, and Arthas' minions - the Scourge
i so hope arthas will not be killed but set free from the will of frostmourne... hes the most powerfull beeing on azeroth and even kil jaeden feared him when he wanted illidan to kill ner`zhul.
so i think that arthas will be set free from the lich kings will in the end of the fight and play a major role in ongoing storyline. oh and there still is Mal'Ganis who said that the mortals wont beat arthas without his army.looks like hes a major general in the burning legion
