Your knowledge about the game is amazing.
Then why am I losing? =(

As for Kongost, that sounds like a bug. The fact remains that he's not actually anywhere on your map, but the minimap arrow is trying to say he's somewhere to at least give a partial illusion.

Impossible!! WoW is made on a 'Heightmap', you cant have one section of terrain floating over another....unless you had uber mapping skills =)...because if u could do that the WHOLE ENTIRE GAME Would be screwed..=P

This has really nothing to do with wow, but I believe that the game second life works similar to this.

I had my realm crash once and all of Eastern Kingdoms was crashed but Kalimdor was okay. Does this prove anything lol.

Had this happen on my realm a while ago when they were having issues. Proves in my mind how they are totally separated. If they were just "on top of each other" they would both crash at the same time because they are in the same "instance area".

Every instance portal you zone through, every boat that goes from Azeroth to Kalimdor, every Zeppelin that does the same. and the way of getting to Outlands and the new starting zones. Step through one and you're going to a new map ID. No matter what, if you are zonening from any of those areas to an area in the same map ID, no matter how far away, you will not be met with a loading screen. To disprove your idea of "a lot of data to load", Outlands, the Azuremist Islands and the Quel'Thalasian area are all on the same map ID. They use the same WDT and WDL. Again, evidenced on the WoWMapView screen. Lets take the most obvious proof here, the portals in Shattrath. Go to there, and take the Silvermoon portal. Surprise! No loading screen. You're just being teleported. no character transfer, no loading of a new WDL/WDT, just the loading of new ADTs, WMOs and m2s.
Okay, I'm new to the forums and I was reading that and I just have one question, A_Snake01. How is it that if you port to Silvermoon from shatt there is no loading screen but there is also no loading screen from Silvermoon to Ghostlands to Eastern Plaguelands? Wouldn't that mean that all of Eastern Kingdoms must be joined with outlands? You can go straight from Ghostlands to EPL without loading can't you? And if you can go straight to Silvermoon from Shatt without loading, all three must be on the same map. I don't know if I confused you or not, but that's just what I'm wondering. It seems like sound logic to me, but I don't know many things about exploration and I'm not sure if that really is the case. Thanks!
