Garrison Hearthstone → Alterac Valley BG portal (Alterac Mountains)

To make your garrison hearthstone teleport you to the alterac valley portal you must not have a garrison.

1. Skip the garrison creation process.
2. Join a group in which the leader has a garrison and then visit it.
3. Talk to Deedree who is located inside the town hall and tell her that you have lost your garrison hearthstone. You can also pick up the flight path.
4. You'll receive a garrison hearthstone which will teleport you to the alterac valley bg portal in Alterac Mountains.

This was done using an alliance character. I'm not sure what the location will be for horde characters. (Probably the same)

Yes, it will teleport you just outside that portal located in alterac mountains. I changed the op a bit to avoid confusion with the bg portal located inside alterac valley itself.

Is it possible you deleted your hearthstone and that world AV is your last saved teleport location? I'm not sure why it send you to AV...the default location to send lost players is westfall.
