Claiming you dont know the policy is pointless. This is all detailed when you play the game and accept the terms. Id take the gold lost as a lesson learned. Sucks that people scam.
My fiancee felt for a Spectral Tiger scam.
The scammer took her to booty bay, at Landros to complete the transaction.
She had to trade 50% in forehand, so he could claim the mount, after trading, he wanted to get the 2nd half and will provide her the code.
So yeah, after trading the 2nd halve, the scammer provided an non working code and started ignoring her.
She ticked it, and a GM was not willing to help her, the GM told her she was violating the terms to buy an code with in game gold, and therefor not recovering her lost gold. (ye, she traded all her gold). Altough she didnt knew about the fact it was against policy, not knowing about the fact the mount is a BoE, the GM was not helpfull and left the conversation.
Any tips or advise to get Blizzard moving to help her and getting her gold back ?

No chance in hell. You can actually put spectral tigers in trade, they don't need a code anymore. So no chance.
