Hey guys first of all my english isnt good so forgive me for mistakes

this exploit works for all types of pets and classes like lock mage hunter dk anyone that can summon pet
how its works just enter bg when ur xp bar is about to reach max i mean to say at 95% when u enter bg ur lvl is scaled to bg lvl like if u join 70 bg ur level will be 79 and bcuz of 95% xp bar is loaded u will be ding and from some bllizard ristriction u will not granted final lvl but ur pet will be lvl up

for example

i joined bg at 72 lvl + 95% xp bar filled and after i got some xp from killing i reached xp bar 100% and my lvl is 73 but my pet lvl is 80 then after bg done ur pet still lvl 80 and when u gain more lvl ur pet will be lvlup to like u reach 74 after bg ur pet will be 81 and will remain high till ur pet dead dont know about dismiss.

so the point is after all of this when i joined random dung my lvl was 74 and my pet was 82 and he was hiting like a tank bcuz of lvl diffrence i 1 shot every 75 lvl elite mobs with my 82 lvl pet in dung and in last skada meter i was at 1.7m and all other at 240k hope u understant the key is u must be at 95% xp bar or just make sure u can ding during battle in bg

This was really hard to read with all the shorthand, lack of punctuation, and whatnot.

I think what he said was you can level a pet beyond your character and, due to how the item squish handles large level disparities, you can have an extremely powerful pet. Start by entering a battleground at the start of your level bracket (Level 70 for 70-79 bracket, etc.) with a nearly full experience bar. You will enter the BG scaled up to level 79, as will your pet. Once you gain a level inside the battleground, the level gain on your pet will become bugged and it will be level 80. You can leave the BG at this point. So long as you don't dismiss your pet, the pet's level will remain higher. So now you will be level 71 and the pet will be level 80. You can continue to level in PVE and you will have a higher level pet.

The OP wasn't clear if you joined a BG again, but my guess is the pet's level will get reset to proper numbers.

It isn't actually necessary to do this in a bg, works fine just in a dungeon.

Can't imagine this will last long as it must be happening to a ton of people levelling pets through dungeons. Great opportunity to level up fast.

Btw A gryphon ride auto-dismisses your pet so walk/ride everywhere.

Do a BG at "start-of-level", level X1 and your pet will be X9 once you're done with the BG.
Example: do a BG at level 21+ and your pet will be level 29 once the BG is over due to the mechanics of everyone in the BG becomes max level during the BG.

I went into a dungeon and levelled up from 17-18, my pet went straight to 20. I left the dungeon and the effect remained till I took a taxi.

I just tried to reproduce it and it didn't work. Will test some more.

Btw Do you have a source when you say this is old? I saw a pet outlevel his hunter in eots a year or so back, and mentioned it on one
of my exploit rundowns. I'm a bit surprised no one mentioned this.
Any pet using class should be able to solo dungeons with this making it lightning fast for levelling, amazing you say this has been around

There is a simple way to realize that the level your pet is has no bearing on it's damage and survivability, and your pet level is not actually increased.

Check your pets health in the BG at level 19/29/39 etc.
Level like said earlier.
Leave the BG.
Check your pets health outside of the BG at level 20/30/40 etc.

Your pet's health is much lower, doesn't do any more damage, etc.

Ah, yeah, now I think about it the HP didn't seem to increase. Oh well. That would explain why it never got fixed, its purely cosmetic.

Realy ? and then why my 82 lvl pet doing insane damage in dungs ? all other party members did 240k max and i was at 1.7m and yeah pet hp didnt change nor any stats increesed just hits doing alot of damage like if u kill low lvl mob damage will be so high like my 100 mage do 500k fostbolt on lvl 10 mob

Yeah I was thinking those numbers don't make sense if pet stats are the same after I wrote the above.

That sounds like it might be a legacy buff effect-maybe that is affected by the pet level. I'll see if I can reproduce it.

Can't recall when I first saw it, it was a long time ago. Either not many people knew about it or people didn't see it as game breaking. I know I don't see it as game breaking because you can't really do anything special with the mechanic. Soloing dungeons etc is fairly easy without a boosted pet (in my opinion). I never thought about posting it since it wasn't a huge deal for me.

It depends what you mean by soloing. Dungeons you outlevel and/or with full looms and/or with a class that can tank to some extent yes, that is easy, more about how fast you can move than difficulty. Trying to tank same level content as, say, a mage with poor gear is impossible and/or impractical. A x9 level pet would definitely speed up the process. Simply put, more dps=faster levelling.

Seems like this exploit isn't actually workable at low-level anyway (see comments above).

nope... it just works with low lvls
