Yes, did that back in 6.1 to fool people thinking I had epic gear - when they wanted crazily good geared people in their raid. Some did not check my gear, but those who did surely kicked right away

Yah wouldn't really classify this as an exploit, I've been doing this since the beginning of WoD (buying the first set of pvp gear and walking into Ashran to get bumped up so I could queue for heroics). Nice guide nonetheless

Run to Ashran and you have your max ilvl

This doesn't work anymore. I'm usually around 723 in Ashran, but whenever I queue, people still see me as 707, which happens to be my actual PvE gear.

I was in actual PvP Combat when it worked. Try it then, not just Ashran or BGs.
