    [Useless] Upgrade garrison follower item level past cap

    First of all: THIS ONLY WORKS FOR FOLLOWERS THAT AREN'T CAPPED YET!

    This macro will simply use one of every upgrade item (+9/+6/+3 weapon+armor) at once:

    Code:
    /run x=function()C_Garrison.CastSpellOnFollower(GarrisonMissionFrame.selectedFollower);end
    /use item:114131
    /run x();
    /use item:114129
    /run x();
    /use item:114128
    /run x();
    /use item:114822
    /run x();
    /use item:114808
    /run x();
    /use item:114745
    /run x();
    Instructions:
    - Click on your mission table, open the follower tab, select a follower from the list, use the macro.

    In live you can go from 645 (645 armor + weapon) to 663 using this.
    In 6.1 you can upgrade followers to 681 using this when they are currently at 666.

    Useless because:
    - higher itemlevel doesn't seem to increase mission success chance past current cap (655)
    - doesn't trigger blackrock foundry missions (because they aren't ingame yet)

    I'm getting the best results/highest itemlevel on followers who are currently at 645+645, propably because at the moment the macro tries to use the upgrades every upgrade can be applied without getting over the cap.

    Edit2: Don't upgrade them now if you're aiming for the mythic cache and you're not sure if you can kill enough heroic bosses until 6.1 hits, as having 2 followers @660+ automatically triggers the BRF mission (just tested it on the ptr, copied one my alts, got the mission upon logging in). Thanks @TheEnglishGuy.

    Edit3: FIXED, they added a cooldown.

    I used the macro on a 654 (654+654) follower and it was upgraded to 656 (656+657) only.

    Tip: Don't do it.

    Once 6.1 goes live you you will instantly trigger the Blackrock cache. You might be a few heroic kills off a mythic cache thus making you waste the cache (you will have to wait 2 full weeks for next one)

    I feel myself completely lost on this. What is the relationship between follower item level and raid cache mission spawn?

    Your followers need a certain ilvl to trigger the raid cache missions. It's 645 for Highmaul and 660 for Blackrock Foundry.
    As you haven't done the Blackrock Foundry mission yet (seeing how they aren't live yet), you'll instantly trigger it when you have two followers at ilvl 660. That is, when the missions implemented.

    No. There are new (and much harder) caches coming in 6.1 for brf.

    You're right, already having 2 followers at the required ilvl triggers the mission upon loggin in (just tested it by copying an alt to the ptr who already has some followers at 660+).
    Added it to the main posting, thanks.

    You say will there be a follower item level requirement for the brf mission branch? Like "get 2 of your followers to 665 item level to trigger normal BRF cache mission"? as it was in 6.0? I don't think there will be any ilevel req. this time.
