I think you're misunderstanding, the 2 set bonus for Paladins in the current season gives them 100% of the enemy players crit as added crit; if another paladin then denounces them they gain the TOTAL crit + their own crit. For instance:.

I understand what is being said I just don't know how else it would work otherwise. You're stealing the Paladins total crit at the time of Denounce hitting him. If you only stole his crit MINUS what he stole from another person, then he would still be able to crit, because he stole someone elses crit. That wouldn't make any sense though because Denounce shouldn't allow him to crit.

Sorry, let's swap the word "Stealing" to "Copying". The idea is to manipulate the mechanic to gain unreasonable amount of critical strike.
