Also you can buy food from the vendor nearby and eat after each fall. Thanks for this OP, great find.

Working as of 3 minutes ago.
I was a bit confused about it, so essentially do as OP says, /logout then talk to the NPC and it will bounce you up in the air and back down. Do this over and over THEN start flying through the rings. Each ring will count for a bunch.
