Get into low level dungeon (maybe bg) as a level 90

Hey guys, i just accidently stumbled upon this bug as i was boosting my level 60 monk to 90.

If you are queued for a low level dungeon, log out and boost the character and log back in, you are still in the low level queue and can enter it as a 90 when it pops.
You might be able to do this with a battleground, i don't see why not.

Will try as soon as my druid is level 60. (59 right now) But since when do you stay in the queue when you log? I thought you get booted once you log out. Or will DCing keep the queue?

You don't even have to dc, just a simple logout right after you have queued up, boost your character and log back in and the queue will still be there.

I can only see this being fun or beneficial for maybe one specific queue Alterac Valley... If you could even get honor, or into the BG.

That sounds a lot of fun anyway, and doesn't cost any extra if you allready planned to boost a char for another reason.

It won't work. Once you exceed the level of the battle ground you are taken out of the queue. You used to be able to queue at 10 and .level to 60 with RAF. They fixed this a long time ago.

Yeah, it should work the same as dinging while you're in the queue.

I should think it works same as the RAF version of this not sure if that still works but it worked same way with granting levels when queue pops

If its removing you from queue you could alt f4 in a BG quickly boost your toon then log back in and you shouldnt be kicked from the BG, much like leveling to the next level bracket while inside of a BG doesnt boot you. I doubt it will be as awesome as some may think, considering its (probably) going to scale down your gear a ton while in a random BG.

It happened to me during wotlk, i was leveling a new hunter with raf with a friend, I had joined the bg earlier and completely forgot about it, my friend logged and the queue popped, found my self as a 48 in a bg with 12s and 19s.

I 1 shot everyone i met as i traveled through the bg then stood at their base gate while they ran out like headless chickens to see what was going on, only to get 1 shot. It was awesome.

I'm not sure if this still works, but there was an older method in which you could Que for a dungeon at 90 with a friend, wait for everyone to leave then teleport out. After teleporting out, you would either be waiting at the lower level dungeon or you would fly to one and go in while still in instance group. After entering the dungeon, you would hit "Find more players to complete..." and wait for all the low levels to join.

This also works if you did LFR with a friend, teleported out and went into Dragon Soul. You could que, but a group of geared players can handle this no problem. I should also mention that its only wing two of DS LFR. Useful for those that want old color variation pieces that are no longer aquireable.
