For something to be linked server side, im pretty sure it already has had to be looted or seen on the realm, so if you're going in and out reseting there's a fair chance that someone (or a few people because of crz) have passed you by and cleared the instance or even somebody has logged in with one of the items you're looking for (glaives in this case)

I'm basing this off when i used to camp the tlpd during wotlk, you couldn't link it after a restart as it hadn't been looted so it was a good indication of wether you'd missed it or not.

I'd be interested in seeing some screenshots of proof anyway and with reset day being next week, it pure speculation up until then.

It's totally stupid, atlas loot can link Atiesh items quests and pices of the staff, that mean someone have boss on drop table ? -_-'

That means that someone is online with it, or that it is on the loottable of your instance, but the loot design prevents it from dropping

This is a VERY old trick that was originally used to ensure the Glaives drops in Black Temple... you'd zone in, see if you could link the item without disconnecting, and if you could, the loot would be on the bosses.

Considering how game breaking this was, the way the loot was handled was changed a very very long time ago. All I can say is that this guy must've read an extremely old blog post about this and posted here thinking it was still relevant.

More like, you THOUGHT it worked cause you linked the loot in AL and then it dropped for you, when in reality you just won the RNG lottery that run lol. Sorry man, this is very old and no longer applicable as loot linking doesn't really work like that anymore.

Anyways, wait until reset and try it for yourselves before going ham on this guy, @ OP, thanks for posting this. And at everyone hating and flaming, at least he tries to contribute, and if it actually does work (Which you guys really have no idea about, so keep the flaming to yourselves since you don't know any better), then you just backhanded a donkey.

I believe this is really, really old. I've read it before, but I ain't crying "Repost, repost". Someone else should check however.

Yeah, this is suupeer old, but I heard it was fixed. I guess not. It works because of the item cache or something, you can only load it if the item has dropped this reset, something like that.
