Of course it's true. The simple fact is that your friends DON'T see you. They see you at Booty Bay even if you are at Stormwind, why ? Because server think you are there ! Only your client think you are not. So nobody (but you) will see you are moving.

So making a private server is exactly the same result. EXPLORATION section is a section to discover where to go FOR REAL. With this method, it's client side...

Personally I had the macro for /Console startproject and it worked a dream, maybe the capital C has an effect? I'm honestly not sure.

Yeah, it pretty much works everywhere, as far as i know. I had some trouble in Outland though.
