Make heirlooms refundable- Get your honor/justice points back, on chosen character!

my worgen alt had the text that his stuff was refundable, but i was in gilneas and not able to access a vendor yet. it was sent from an alliance toon to an alliance toon and was still ticking down after having been used by lvl 65 shaman lol. not sure how to duplicate except by doing what the other people here are saying.

OK heres what I found:
Had BOAs on my horde characters.
Made a lvl 1 ally character.
Sent boas to ally toon.
Left in bags logged out logged back in.
I could resell so I farmed enough copper to send them back and try if it works doing it backwards.
When I sent them back I could not get them to be able to sell again.

So sell the item to the alliance vendor, then go buy the same item for the same price (a new one) and then send it a horde character of your choice. Now you'll can move it between two horde characters . . .

I don't know if they fixed this already but, I sent a pair of mail shoulders to my goblin priest (level 1), logged out and logged in again right after. After a few min the item said I could sell if for a full refund, but when I tried to sell it it said "Sorry! unable to refund that item", something like that. Do I have to sell it to the heirloom vendor?

EDIT: I thought I should send it back to another of my alliance toons who is already in dalaran, when i were going to send it, it said that it would become non-refundable so I thought "Nah, will not risk it" and i went ahead and did the first and the second quest on my goblin, then I thought tried to send it again, and it didn't mention anything about non-refundable so i sent it, will update again in a few hours. xD

only got this to work on a lvl1, but 5g and a mage can solve that problem

sent the 2h mace, 1h healing mace and 2 1h dps maces to a fresh alliance (i am horde) toon. then opened the mail put one piece on left the rest in my inventory, logged out of the toon for about 4 hours, went back on and mailed it to my main, and was NOT able to sell it.

It did work before, Don't know if it works anymore, so by the time i created it, it WAS NOT useless, and it WAS NOT a Fail Thread.

Damn leecher, go and contribute something, instead of going to others threads, and complain.

Ok... I found out how to reproduce this.

1. Send the items to a level 1 toon.

2. Equip said items.

3. Kill a few mobs until you ding.

It will show that you can sell it back but when you attempt to it will tell you "Sorry, unable to refund". There is also a bug similar to this with PvP gear though that I used on my mage... I honor capped again without doing any BG's lol.

Edit: Also I tried logging out and back in with them in both inventory and equipped... When I logged back in they didn't have the message that I could sell them back. As soon as I dinged level 3 it showed that I could again but it wouldn't sell them.

I was able to reproduce the refundable text on a lvl 1 alt several times. However, once i got said alt to Dalaran, i was unable to get to reproduce to try selling it back to heirloom vendor. The two hour wait also seems to be completely unneccessary.

I wonder if the items being enchanted has anything to do with this not working for some people.

I have BOA Chest, PvP Shoulders, 2 daggers and the 1h Sword... the daggers are enchanted... Nothing else is... It makes no difference... I even tried porting a L1 alt to Dalaran and dinged from discoveries in Northrend VIA the X53 and a guildie... Got to the heirloom vendor and it still showed that I could sell them but when I tried to sell them it would not accept them. This is not working... Blizz may have hot fixed this.

I made a level 1 horde Mailed the boa 2 it then back to my main logout login And it keeps saying merchant does not want this item ?
