This is a "mathematical problem" that everyone has been discussing through the internet with false conclusions. The thing is, in every way of making this happen, is by dividing by 0! And you cannot EVER divide by 0 since it's an infinite answer!

1 = 2, only if you use bionomial theorem, at the end of the equation, 1 would equal 2. Its tough, but thats what you would do, in my experience. It has to do with x's and how x = 0. I know that much, but I don't know the equation, i wins? ^_^

(by the way for notation ^2 means to the power of two)
let a=b, then a^2=ab
then a^2+a^2=a^2+ab
then 2a^2=a^2+ab
then 2a^2-2ab=a^2-ab-2ab
then you get 2(a^2-ab)=1(a^2-ab) which you then cancel out the (a^2-ab)'s and your left with 2=1
I know I'm right because I have a BASc and a Masters in mathematics and computational mathematics

I gave the correct solution, I understand the math behind it and the reason that is the same as the one you found is because it is something you learn in your first year in college to understand the principles behind numerical manipulation. So how about you do a bit of research before you troll jack ass..
