Your an active remember and you don't realize this is not an exploit either... how sad. If its a quest, that anyone can pick up, and anyone can do. How is it an exploit. Jesus some of you guys are dumb asses. My little brother could have put this in the right section.

I see some rep thrown before it was confirmed... i see someone saying they used a bugged silithid before they fixed 'it' (not saying which they fixed) but no one saying they confirmed that it lowered the guards levels, when they aren't even the intended targets of the quest.

I can confirm that it does change the guards to level 35, and that they do give you the same amount of rep.
Although it works, the grind is slow because there are a shit load of worgen and very few guards. I found myself waiting around for the bruisers to spawn half the time. I think many people will find it easier just to level to 85 and kill the guards then.

Little offtopic: Are there any ways to get Steamwheedle Cartel rep back up from hated without losing Bloodsail reputation? They removed DM and Feralas repeatable quests in 4.0.3a.

Farm the humans near Ratchet they all give +5 rep with Rachet and +3 with the other Steamwheedle Cartel factions.

Except now that the bloodsail ships are phased, how do you suppose we turn in or even get the quest "Avast ye Admiral!" Or is it just to get Bloodsail to exalted? You can't unphase them without completing the quest by talking to Revilgaz, who is hostile.

except the fact that the quest does not start at Baron Revilgaz unless you have done some specific quests. thats why i would like to know if anyone knows which quest unlocks this one so i dont have to pound my Bloodsail Burccaneers down before trying to get it up again.

so yeah, i read the quest and spend 30mins trying to find the previous quests that unlocks this one on wowhead.

Like Cosmus said, the questline has changed. I was at 0/50 in Northern Stranglethorn and 0/60 in Cape of Stranglethorn and am now 50/50 and 30/60 and still haven't gotten this questline. I've been destroying my Bloodsail Buccaneer rep in hopes to get to this quest. I just received this quest, The Damsel's Luck, which is almost the same name but did not change any of the guard's level so I handed it in.

Can the OP or others confirming tell us how many quests they had to do to get this quest, what faction they're on, or if they already had this quest in their questlog?

I had Loremaster for a year before the patch, and did almost every quest I could find in the game, and the few I still had in my logs were removed this patch. I had 0 credit for all these individual zone quest achievements so I'm not sure how anyone could have older versions of the quest. I guess I'll do the other 30 quests and remain hopeful.

Reputation with Booty Bay decreased by 125.
Reputation with Ratchet decreased by 62.
Reputation with Gadgetzan decreased by 62.
Reputation with Everlook decreased by 62.

I guess I was under the impression that the rep loss to Steamwheedle Cartel would be absent as it is supposed to be Dec 7th. What a bummer. I'll leave my quest in this phase however in hopes that its not fixed by then and I can grind 35's instead of 85's.

Do the Damsel's luck, do the ones on that ship, one of them is the brashtide crew that requires you go talk to 3 sailors on the 3 ships that are worgen, you then sabotage the three ships and report to baron revilgaz. At that point he asks you to go get his doublerum from his room down the stairs, which then causes the three ships to phase into BB and attack. Lowering all the guards to 35 except 2 or 3 71 elites. But it also phases the 3 ships off the coast where you are so even if you get your rep to friendly/honored whatever you cant go get the bloodsail quests. And you cant unphase the ships without raising booty bay rep again to turn in the quest that had you phased.

This is a very very bad idea. Getting to the actual quest means you need to do many quests that will lose a ton of rep with the bloodsail and gain a ton with steamwheedle, do not do this. I'm stuck in some phasing shit now and am forced to **** over my reps even more. It's much better to work on one of the other factions and just wait till you can actually kill the guards.

Fixed in todays hotfixes, I still have my Bloodsail rep at Honored though and no way to unphase the ships.
