Pull from up to 150yards away

Long time leecher - hopefully this is useful to some. Please delete if it's a repost, though I did try to search.

The quest item [Enohar's Explosive Arrow] provided for the quest (Alliance only) Curtail the Darktail in Blasted Lands can be used on (as far as I have found) any target, off the GCD.
- Has a .5 second cast time, so it cannot be used during other casts, but it can be used while moving. Has a minimum range of 15 yards, and maximum of 150.
- Provides no threat, or damage. Does not tag mobs.
- Places you and the target in combat.
- Does not require line of sight.
- Will flag you for pvp if using against a pvp target.

Some uses I have found for this [tested and working]:
- Pull anything from farther than the range of your skills. Does not tag the mob, however - you must still use a typical attack that will tag the mob for loot/credit. As it does not require line of site, I have pulled mobs and bosses from around corners in dungeons.
- Keep players in combat, so they cannot stealth or use mounts.
- Kite mobs without damaging them.

Other possibities [untested]
- May be able to target opposing faction pets/players to force them to pvp flag.



I hope others can find other uses for this as well.

Well it does only have 150yard range, and you have to be able to target it.

Whale is easy to target and get within 150 yds. I've gotten seemingly very close, but even my water elemental couldn't get in range to pull him

I cant get on to test this, but if you use this to pull a mob from a group, does it aggro the whole group in the same way a normal attack does?

He was within 100 yards of me earlier today at the spot to fish in Vash'Jir.. My hunter friend tried casting Hunter's Mark on him but he was Out of Line of Sight

Thanks for posting this, although im told he has around 7.5million health i might get a few friends together and try to kill him through kiting. Does anybody know if you can get this achievement in a raid ( i don't suppose you do, maybe on the beta? )

I assume you can get the achieve in a raid just as you can any other achieve.

I went over there myself just a minute ago and i couldn't seem to get in range to pull him without dying to fatigue, how did you manage to?

You have to have some sort of waterwalking to get there (maybe you could use the ghost gryphon trick, or heal yourself out there) But find the thread on fishing in Vashj'ir and then head to where he is located on his map.. Then while there just fish and wait for him to pat by.. I think when we saw him he was at the last part of his pat because he did a loop by us.. Will draw up a map quick for ya.

The red dot is where you can stand without getting ported out by no mans land debuff. Just wait there because he pats. Have your camera underwater. Good luck!

yes...i was able to send my pet in to attack the shark but he got dismissed when he entered vashj'ir
