Shaman healer exploit

Okay, this exploit is basically equipping 2 weapons as a shaman to get the benefit from both.

This is how to do it:

First thing you do is respeccing to enhancement(dual spec works aswell) and equip 2 weapons(dual wield talent). Make sure to equip 2 healing/spell damage weapons and remember to enchant them with the shamans enchant. Now you simply respec to your main spec (healer, or dps) and your weapons will still be on you, which will make you benefit WAY more from the stats.

Example: You have 2 weapons with 300 spell power, 21 mp5 and 80 int. And a shield with 60 spell power, 10 mp5 and 35 int.

Now you will benefit from the 2 weapons instead of the weapons + shield and will gain 240 spell power, 11 mp5 and 45 int. + you will have a way higher gearscore for random pugs.

YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO SWITCH THE WEAPONS ONCE YOU DID THIS - OTHERWISE YOU HAVE TO REDO IT.

Have you tried this several times successfully? When ever I switch it seems to automatically removed the one item. Though I honestly haven't checked in a while.

I don't believe you actually get the bonus from the two weapons, as you see the indicator shows one of the weapons red which means the weapon it self is nullified out basically.

i too discovered this with fury/prot warrior with protection warrior having 2 two-handers (altough you cannot use the weapons)

look at the bonus healing number and spell dmg number. it didnt change...

but then again, it appears you still have both buffs in both screenshots. post you stats w/ any buffs.

@Unholy - i tried this as of today

@Shank - i tested this several times, and my stats fell/rised whenever i took off the weapons, but perhaps it just bugged with me, been a little laggy all day. But try it yourself!

@Airwave - You could eventually change it with something more benefitting?. Failer.

Doesn't work. You CAN equip both weapons, but the second wep won't give me any SP. Even the earthliving on the second weapon doesn't work.

If you look at the right side of the screenshot, you see the "red sword", aka broken.

If you get engineering, equip engineering goggles, then drop engineering, your goggles will show up as red as well, and stats will not affect you (just example)

I tried this way back when dual-spec was introduced. Although the weapon is equipped, it is considered not there. Any stats on the weapon, including enchants, are not added on to your character sheet. Also if you zone in to somewhere else, your offhand weapon will be in your bags (unless its full, then it just seems to get deleted).

The only way to be dual wield with resto is to be specced into dual wield and be very chain-heal spammy. Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft is an example build. There's little wiggle room, but generally that's the build. Feel free to switch the Blessing of Eternals and Nature's Blessing talents if you prefer spellpower or crit. I've tried it, and it's very boring, but with the way shamans are spamming chain heal in raids, who knows. Don't forget to get Blade of the Unrequited - Item - World of Warcraft from karazhan so you can fit it up with epic gems.

If you look closely, you will notice in his screenshots that he does not have the duel talent ability to switch between specs. Since the screenie doesnt have duel speccing(wich is what you require, but you do not have it on your shaman?).
So in my opinion i think this guy is playing you all.

So if its not fake, then its a theory.



*****ALSO, as the above poster said, it shows the main hand weapon as broken(RED/ no durability left) so it give no benefit as if you were wearing nothing.
However, the screenshot shows you the weapon is not broke as it has 75/75 durability.
A clear sign saying DOES NOT WORK.

This is Incorrect. Back in TBC beta, enhancement shamans were using caster weaponsx2 with duel flametongue to buff their instant cast lavaburst.
