Stay stealthed for as long as you like(Non-Rogue, Night Elves only)

Chukabi, I grouped up with a friend, she saw me as non-stealthed. I stood in the middle of dalaran and noone even clicked my character nor did I recieve any whispers.

This is clientside only.

Are you trolling or are you just really really dumb? Everything you just mentioned is irrelevant. I havn't tried the exploit myself so I'm not gonna go there. But IF it works like real stealth then;
1) You grouped up with a friend and he could see you. If a rogue groups up with a friend, the friend sees him too. Groupmembers can see their fellow rogues in stealth.
2) Nobody targeted you and you didn't get any whispers? Maybe because you were stealthed?..

I tried this on my hunter. It does seem to be just a visual effect(you can't sneak past mobs), and it works only within a short radius of where you cast the shadowmeld(I turn solid again if i move far away from the spot I used shadowmeld). It does seem that friendly players within this radius can also see the effect, I'm not sure about people of the opposite faction.

Oh yea, and how do I know noone were able to target me?
Explain to me, why me friend saw me as normal and not transperant then? gtfo with failposts, brah.

Here's the scenario, I run up to the Eventide bank, infront of 6-7 fellas, shadowmeld and move, - so that I appear as transparent on my screen. They should be able to see trough my "stealth" and target me when I'm right on their characters? Neh?

Party members will always see a rogue stealth / shadowmeld easier. like in duels, if your in group with the rogue, u see him and rape him.

But if your not in group with them. So he would be completely invisible to the hordes. This is not a client side effect only. This is a great bug and you should all use it has long as it works.

Maby you're doing it differently? Just tested it with a guildie and it's client side only.

You don't stay stealthed, you just appear faded (like a ghost or someone drinking ethereal oil).
Like numerous people have said in the thread this is not client side, but it only works within a few yards of the spot you are shadowmelded and if you move too far away it will break.
Also I believe it only works on people in the immediate area, if someone comes to see it from the other side of Dalaran for example its not going to show up unless you reapply it.

All in all this is a visual effect so people can still target you.

becouse the thread title you have wrote is misleading, it should say "Stay transparent for as long as you like" and not "Stay stealthed ..."
