[Shadowmourne] Easy solo acquire 1000 Souls

In order to gain credit for 1 soul (1 mob) you need to deal damage to it while equipping Shadowmourne (epic). However, you do not need to deal melee damage with the axe, you just have to deal damage to gain credit.

Some may think this 2nd nature, but you can collect souls from the Rep-less mobs that fight the npcs at Icecrown Citadel entrance. The 1-3 npcs that charge npcs, solong as you have done a single damage to them they will reward you 1 soul.

I've currently set myself up to shoot a rough arrow at them with auto-it once they are in range and the NPCs have them tagged. Zero risk, farmable souls. Currently at 125/1000 from risk-free macroing what would normally be over 20 clears of Morrogar trash! Enjoy while it still works!

Not really an exploit.

That aside, there's:

3 rep-less mobs at the start
2 guarding the door
3 patrolling
4 to both sides (
5 in the center
4 more to both sides
4 guarding the door
5 in the room
4 deathbound wards

Some of the rep-less ones usually also respawn while you're clearing the first 2-5, so that's roughly 40 kills per trash clear up to Marrowgar.

125 / ~40 is not 20 clears of Marrowgar trash. I don't know how much time you spent getting these 125, but a good rep run clears the trash in 9 minutes (and does 12 minutes per run due to 5 instances / hour lockout).

Lastly, short of bragging rights, there is no real gain to this, seeing how you'll have a long time to go before you get all your Shards for Shadowmourne, and there's plenty of trash per clear, even just through Plagueworks.

Also, you can kill the critters in the instance, and also gain souls. (There are like, 8 in the first room)

Or, if this works the same as for the ethereal soul trader, just go to Ulduar, hop in a demo, and kill plenty of trash before FL. Would be much faster.

Edit: And I say this based off of the fact you don't need to physically hit them.

Testing did not give Credit for 1 Soul from critters. Please do testing before posting contrary info.

I woke up to be 3000 rough arrows less, but 1000/1000 feasted souls.

Good luck with those until this is fixed.
