Strand of the Ancients Bug,Leech spot

Hello


When you are a defender in strand of the ancients
and you now have loosed/winned now you will be teleported to a boat, 0.5 sec before you get teleported to the boat press your keyboard button "start"
(you can also try to use the DC macro)

so now your wow is down,now tab in or whatever just go in the game

now you should be disconnected, log in and you will be in a water long long away from the BG

and noone can see you on the map too!

yes it do works to jump of the boat
but players can see it and report it, here they cant see you do it

True, true, nice find, it would be so easy to program a bot to do this for you.

I have a few problems due to this, im normaly using my raptor mount from ZG (Im ally) and i have some strange DC moments, where i get DCed 3-4 times in a row RIGHT when i log in on my character.

I thouth in the start i was hacked, but atm i touch the water doing this leech, i get dc'ed instantly, and can only log in again AFTER the bg is over.

Is this a global bug ? Any other with same problem (Using ZG mount)

A few patches ago, they implemented a forced disconnect when you touch water in certain places you arent supposed to be, to prevent certain kinds of exploiting I'd assume. I'm not sure on the specifics, but it has to do with the water you're touching. You're able to log in after the BG is over because the unique BG instance no longer exists and youre force-hearthed.

If you have any map hacks, that can be causing it. May also just be corrupt map data.

You need to be close enough to target an enemy in a BG in order to receive honor for that honor kill. Granted in battlegrounds your view distance is HUGE, but yeah not huge enough while off the map I'm sure. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's just how I theorycraft it, meaning this exploit is useless =/.

Seems too complicated vs just botting for some marks, even if you get reported inactive sometimes.

Well i dont know if you get honor. BUT i know you will get the marks for it.
and marks gives honor, so not that useless

1. Dont use a mount
2.Log in FAST after you disconnected.
3. or wait some seconds to get the boat to get closer to the bg

Never happend to me xD
