100% speed while not mounted

Ok, this allows you to move at the speed of a 100% mount, while not being mounted.

NOTE: This took me a few tries to replicate, so don't expect it to work the first time. But it's easy to do.

Ok, in wintergrasp, while your team controls it for obvious reasons, basically you use the portal while on a flying mount, and as you click it you press space to fly up, disconnecting you, but when you log back in on that character, you should have 100% speed.

But here is a step by step guide:
1) Move to the portal indicated above
2) Mount on a flying mount
3) Right-Click the portal
4) As soon as you're being teleported, press space to fly up. At the moment i'm pressing forward and space, still haven't figured out if the forward has anything to do with it
5) If you did it right, you should be disconnected
6) Log back in, and if successful, you'll be able to run around at 100% speed.

Btw, this has worked successfully for me, twice, so before you come back to criticize or comment, at least give it a few goes beforehand. If many people can't replicate, i'll try and get a video up.

Does the resulting disconnect always leave you with the mount speed? I can do the disconnect reliably, that part works very easily, but I've yet to have any speed increase upon logging back in. Tried it with several different mounts with 7 disconnects.

Clicking and waiting a split second to account for latency then pressing W+space disconnects me almost 100%.

No, after I first noticed it, I had to do a voa, so I couldn't attempt it a second time just then.

Although today I tried it, it took me about 5-7 tries(getting disconnected, more if you include the times I didn't get d/c) to get it, and yes, if you want it to work you have to be disconnected, although the disconnection alone is not a 100% guarantee that you'll get it.

Same happened to me, but i couldnt replicate it.


This is what i did:

* i took the portal in dalaran to wintergrasp while mounted.
* i left wintergrasp with the "Leave wintergrasp"-button (the one at the minimap)
at the same time i pressed space and got disconnected...after login in i was unmounted but had 100% speed.

Just duplicated exactly what he did in the movie and it does work!
2 sec, I'm gonna upload a video, couldnt catch it while I actually did the trick but got footage where Im running 100% without mount!

Did some more testing, and when I took portal from Dalaran to Orgrimmar I lost the bug. This might've happend because of;
- Continent change (most likely this)
- Interacting with a portal

It could've been by loading screen too, but because I didnt loose the buff when I HS'ed im pretty sure it aint that.

Gonna try to recreate again. +Rep x3 by the way, this exploit is really sick. Just imagine the kiting possibilites with this exploit... ALOT of possibilities!

haha, one of the best parts about it, is that I found it in wg. It'd have 100 uses there. Although while when I mounted it removed the speed increase, I wonder if the same thing'd happen if a movement reducing effect(e.g. hamstring) occurred.

Hmmm... as a hunter Im very excited about this ooooo, think about the possibilities if you could use this in arena or in raid/instance, someone find out everything what can be done with this before the whole thing gets nerfed by blizzard!
