Duplicate Gold.(one use only)

(I have reports taht sending gold and alt+f4ing instantly can be used, but i cannot confirm at this time


okay, saw this on a website as a theory and tested it out:

The thing is, make an alt with a name that violates the ToS like Crappycrap, or some other foul langauge, then mail all gold you want to duplicate to this character, and do stuff to get someone to report you for that name. When the GM qhispers you and asks you to logout and login to change name(try to be in a major city or near a mailbox when this happens.) within 5 minutes mail out yor gold to another character and close the wow window( OR ALT+f4), this way your character was not recorded the moment of mail because it wasnt a "formal" logout and when you log back in after changin name your character will be at the progress of about 5 minutes before the logout, due to that game records progress every little while, that includes all the gold, so the gold will arrive at its destination(your other alt) and the renamed character will have it, and anything you vendored just before logout back.

Also if you know various people reported you but dont get a GM whisper, just logout afetr 30 minutes or so and mail gold to alt/main, then QUICKLY close wow window.

hmm, can you use alt+f4 instead of closing the window?

So, basically, you create an illegally named character, when you're whispered to change it, send all the gold to your main and alt+f4 out, then log back in and change the name. You will have the money on both characters, correct?

I know it closes ur windows verry fast. so u actually got dc.

alt+f4 is the same effect as closing the window, it just immediately shuts WoW down and 'unnoficially' logs you out

why can u only do this once? it is becuz blizz only gives u 1 warning per account?

by closing window, you get an "informal logout" so WoW cant save your exact progress. it sets you abck 5 minutes, tehrefore yous till ahve the gold you mailed out before closing.

after the first time, blizzard starts putting penalties, like 3 hour bans ect..... but.... if you ahve two computers, and the algorithm for full trials( lets you use mail ect as a trial toon) then go ahead and do as many times as you want.

But it also works if u trade the items with some ?
Like righteous orbs or a enchanting formula or something else ?

I know it doesn't, but techinically if it works as you explained it tinkerfoe, you don't need to worry about the name change or anything; if you send something to another char and alt f4 out, and log back in it should do it then

couldnt you just log in again after alt-f4ing and then sending the same amount of money again and then if the gm asks why you didnt change your name you could come up with a good excuse. Will this work.

I think when they make you change your name a box will pop up in the character selection screen telling you to change it , preventing you from logging into the game world in till you change the name.
