hmm 2 computers maybe once youve mailed it log onto your account from a diffrent computer therefor disconnecting the other one before the name change can be completed?

if you ahve two computers, and the algorithm for full trials( lets you use mail ect as a trial toon) then go ahead and do as many times as you want.

Ok, let me check I have all this straight.

I make a new character and name it something that violates the Terms Of Service.
I log off this alt and come back on as my main (or an alt with a lot of Gold).
I then mail 500 Gold (for example) to the new created alt.
I log off this character and back into the newly created, ToS-violating alt.
Take the Gold from the mailbox.
Head into a major city and do things to make sure people notice the ToS-violating name and report me.
Await GM response and demand to change my name.
When you do get a GM /w'ing you - mail the gold back and use ALT+F4 to close WoW.
Re-launch WoW, (this'll bring up the "Change your name" dialog box on the character select screen.) - rename the ToS-violater........

Then what? Check the bags/mailboxes of both characters I presume?

(I'm considering trying this on a friend's account, he's always moaning he has no Gold. This way I can help him and not risk a warning on my account. A win-win situation.)

Yep, thats all right, except the gold will be in the mailbox of the char you sent it to from the offending alt, and just sitting in the inventory of the name offending char

Could never get a GM to whisper me... and I had a least 2 people report me. How long does it usually take? I waited about an hour.

Edit: Well i never got a whisper from a gm. So i sent my money back to my main and Alt+f4'd out of the game. When i tryed to log back onto the alt (with bad name) it asked me to change my name. I figured this might happen, that's why i sent my money back and alt+f4'd. Anyways... it didn't work.

Maybe this does not work in major city's (i was in IF) because of the rested exp (no wait time) it counts as a official logout even with Alt+f4. Just a thought.

couldent you do this by doing thaat way then making like a tria account or something then send the mail to that account and just keep repeating? or do trial accounts not get mail

you would need a full trial, normal trials cant use mail
(youre just unlucky, American GMs are nice sortof. they tell you to logout+login to change name

well, i did it in goldshire. maybe major cities dont work.
also alt-f4 rigth afetr sending mail, or click Xlose button in windowed mode

as soon as you enter the world, you get a box that pops up asking you to change your name. i did that once when i transferred severs

if a GM doesnt whisper you btu you KNOW several epople reported you, get windowed mode, mail stuff to your main from a non major city, and logout rigth after mailing.
