its a terribly slow way to get xp anyways, since u can pull of way more by just questing
This quest was the reason a lot of people got banned because they made realm first 80 with it. After the first wave and the quest being widely known this place was camped by gms and they banned everybody who let harrison die and run in direction of the cage again. So yes, it's old as hell![]()
I should try this next time I'm leveling an alt :-)
This is an extremely slow way of leveling.
Thank you for sharing this.powerlvling pew pew

I tried this out with my 75'er shaman and it worked not very well. The trolls die fast but I think the amount of trolls that spawn is insufficient to get boostet cuz theres too much time between new spans.
oh nice![]()
i just did it and got 1000+ exp with rested bar, i guess the exp gained had change?
Lol I'll try this out.+Rep if it works

Testing this when my alt gets there
tho i belive i won't be faster lvl'ing this way than q's.
Works for my hunter.. +rep thanks![]()
decent XP,as with all grinding gets boring but my little brother does anything for £1 lol, so hes grinding away![]()
You could consider this a necro at 2 weeks now, but I figured I'd chime in with my own findings on an alt which is 77 and on the quest. I remembered this thread, so I thought I'd give it a go and run some rough numbers for you guys. I am rested for this.
- I timed from the point that Harrison dies to the moment he dies again to be almost exactly 4 Min, 45 sec (used in-game stopwatch). From the moment he dies and I abandon the quest to the moment he dies once again, I receive roughly 14.5k rested XP.
- Both the time from when he dies/abandon/dies-again and the amount of XP rested gained each time are consistent after 7 resets.
- I believe this is enough to estimate roughly 180k XP (rested)....give or take a few thousand...per hour.
If you ask me, this is hardly worth it. Also, it wouldn't matter if you kept him alive any longer, being as once either the snake or he dies...it's over, and Harrison is doing the same amount of DPS no matter what----that snake is going to die just as quick as if you hadn't tried to heal Harrison.
Sorry OP, just needed to put your theories to the test for the other users.
EDIT!: Okay, so I just figured out how to take that measly 180k per hour and boost it....it's quite simple. I figured out that if I just started nuking the shit out of the snake that all the room would summon up at once and I could nuke them down instantly. That gave me around 15-17k XP in around half the time it was taking to just let him solo the snake. You can of course then rinse and repeat (abandon and retake at the cage). I don't feel like crunching those numbers, but it's safe to say it's more than 180k per hour not touching the snake yourself.
Basically, ignore what the OP said about not touching the snake. Nuke it until all the adds just pop up at once, take them down instantly together, finish off snake, and then rinse and of course repeat
EDIT 2!: Soooo, ya know what? I did it about 5 times and estimated it to be around 320k per hour if you do it as I said above. Remember that's that is rested. I'd say that that's not bad, as long as you're rested, and even then...I know plenty of ways to get more than that rested, and legit. However, I could understand that this is pretty much safe where you won't die. Then again, no loot. One other thing that scares me is wondering whether or not GMs watch for people still abandoning that quest over and over.
