I can confirm that this doesnt work with your own lag.

though, the basic of this has been known for ages, that with server lagg (that wich is caused by blizzard) You -can- actually get multiple items from the same resource, meaning that you could get 2/3 gems from 10 badges, or maybe your even able to loot multiple of the same items from the same mob.

The thing is, though. That server lagg from blizzard seems rather rare, so the question would be at what moments there is any of this server lagg caused by blizzard.


Edit: You could actually cause server lagg by getting around 1000+ people to stand near the vendor and go crazy like (Insert something crazy here)
The downside to this is:
1. You need to have a really good graphical card in your pc to even be able to do anything
2. Blizzard would easily notice this and you'll probably get banned
3. You need more then 1000 people (Yes, really)

But, for you athene fanboys out there, it could actually be done since athene caused major server lagg and 2 servers to crash because he tried to host an event, but too many people showed up.

actually, I was there with him and it was 4 servers we crashed, we were more than 1000 by far as there were 12,500 viewers and all servers crashed pretty much instantly when everybody signed in

What about right after Wintergrasp victory/defeat? That usually creates server lag. If it works, does it work for Emblem gear, too? Which you can sell back for even more emblems?

If you need an easy way to "Create lag"
just go to a torrent site
Isohunt, Piratebay, Demonoid ect.
find a few Extreemly large files, and download them, then go into utorrent or whatever you use for torrent managment, and set the bandwidth allocation to high, that should lag you up pretty good.

doesnt work, its not a client side, its server lag, i think u can do this on dalaran at 8:30 / 9 pm when alot of people is co and waiting for a raid

This "server lagg get more stuff from your tokens/money" bug has been around on this site since the beginning from TBC, So I doubt that it will get fixed in a future patch. But who knows.

And a lot of people still think you can do this with your own lagg, so another time.

You are not able to do this with your own lagg, the servers from blizzard will have to be laggy in order for this to work.

had tons of lag. and apprx 8ms also on the laptop and far away from the router like casey and didnt work either, u prob just have to get the right moment...

Easiest way to give yourself lag
go to google
search crysis demo
Go on the top link
Go to the downloads tab
click atleast 5 download mirrors (maybe more or all if your connection isnt trolling yet)
so that will speed down your internet make sure to look at the speed your downloading try and get to around 2.5kbps on each download
then alt tab back into wow
And your'e lag should be even worse maybe 10k +
If that doesnt work with server lag i dont kno what will

I managed to get one free one out of this
with the lag i suggested and the server lag on tichondrius which was quite bad at the time (5 second cast for mount)
