    In short for Video 1:

    Open your WoW Folder
    Open Notepad
Type the next 3 lines into notepad
    @echo off
    cd /d "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft"
    start /high WoW.exe
Change "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft" depending on where your WoW folder is. (Leave the quotation marks in)
Save the file under the name "WoW.bat"
Put the file in your WoW folder
    Run the file
When you get in game type "/console MaxFPS 400" (Without quotation marks) to get more FPS
    ???
Profi... Sorry, I won't be retarded, More WoW FPS!

Ironically while this does indeed decrease your ping times, it does so at the cost of communication speed with the server (realm). So by doing so you will see your ping drop from, for example, 300 to 200 but you will lag a lot more as if you actually had a 1/3 slower connection.

So perhaps "increase lag and epeen" would be more accurate?

Thanks, the guide in the first video increased my fps, you should really try it out. It's worth it and the best part about it, it only takes a minute to make (:

Yes this WILL increase your fps/lagg, whatever.
But it runs WoW in high priority mode, so (and it has happened to me) if your raiding and you want a better performance, this will give you it but if you are using Ventrillo you will not hear it/hear it very randomly throughout. Just a little problem I came across when I had done this before.

    a few points:
i wouldn't use high priority on running wow, cause the rest of processes will be starved for resources. most of us raiders like to have at least a ventrilo/teamspeak client open for listening to rl orders. even a browser for tactics and dkp. so these two applications and more system processes that work in the background will be denied time frames in the cpu processing. that is bad.
i have known and used about the second video way for more than a year, it has even been posted on wow forums. it has to do with the nagle algorithm (xp only) and the way blizzard is using tcp connections. it does work for me i can verify it, ping dropped from 350-450 to 130 and i can see the differense. in short, you force an ack signal every 1 packet instead of every 2 (deafault). what it does is it reduces the server lag cused by accepting the packets. it is a kind of an artificial lag, not real due to media.

to improve fps/latency i use maximised full screen mode with vertical sync and all options that improve stability (even if they reduce fps). i play in 1600x1200 24b/1 sample with minimum addons. i get 35fps/150ms in raid conditions. i also use the second video way. it does work i can verify this. i use xp pro, 2gb ram, ati radeon 3850, dual core cpu.

The latency tweak works but its old and can be found here:World of Warcraft - English (NA) Forums -> Reduce Your Latency from 200 to under 100...

the good thing is, the regitry tweak works as well on Windows 7!
