How about you actually read the post before trying to (and failing at) criticize me? The debuff for leaving a battleground is 15 minutes long and persists through death. If you're having your tank do this, you're most likely summoning them right to a boss. If you wipe on said boss (and there is a good chance, considering you most likely wouldn't bother with this tedious process for an easy encounter), then you have to first:

-Wait for the tank's deserter debuff to wear off
-Wait for their queue for AV to pop
-Wait for their game to start, and for them to collect armor scraps
-Wait for them to turn in said armor scraps
-Summon them back

Seems like quite a bit of work to me.

If you actually did said boss fight, it prob wouldn't take too long to wait for deserter. Idk about your BG, but av pops in less than a min for me.

Like you said though, this is only for hard bosses. I'd rather wait 10 mins for my tank to get a massive boost than have the whole raid pay insane repair costs for trying and failing at something over and over again.

Thats not even considering the fury warriors/dks that can use this while grinding for a great buff.

I have known this since classic (did very much AV back then). The fact that this is working as intended, have made me not posting it here. It does not say on the buff "within AV" or anything, so this is surely not an exploit.
