I've known about this for a long time, but for some reason it never occurred to me that it could potentially be abused until today. I've been racking my brain lately trying to find things to contribute to mmowned, and I think I've finally thought of a really good one.

A couple months ago a twink made a long farewell post on the bg forums about how they were quitting because they got xp in a bg, and dinged their 49 twink to 50. It seems that if an enemy uses a lightwell and it runs out while you're around, you get xp.

Basically, if you're a priest lvl 49+ and some twink in gy camping you, tell the people in the bg the plan, and use lightwell right when you spawn and use it all up.

You could also strategically plant one in your FR, and use every charge but one, then use the last one right when a twink comes around.

Rinse and repeat till they ding, and make an emo farewell post before they /wrist irl.

It would be fun to ding some of those douchebag 59 dk's. It might actually make the bracket playable again =)

tbqh, pro twinkers never twink with 500 xp till ding. You are going to need to do like 2-3 month bgs to actually level some twink with full xp bar.

Some do, but yeah the majority have the gear before hand then just ding 49 or whatever and start pvp. Interesting exploit though

although this is true for some people, others it takes longer to get all of the gear/ mats they need... which can make them rack up some exp

if the lightwell trick works this should be good!

i used to twink the lvl 59 bracket, and i even have a lvl 59 dk twink, but usually the DKs that are there to twink have all the gear they need way before 59 so more or less it would take an interestingly long time to level any dks with a lightwell

TBH whether or not you actually lvl them, it will def piss them off to be getting xp in bgs. Especially with the way blizz changes things all the time, they have to get new things every other patch.

Imo dont use this on any twink. Only the ones that exploit/gy farm, or 49 shams/BM hunters, or 59 dks. =P

That's kinda cruel tbh. All that work put to waste, especially if they have (for example) one of the 10k+ armor pieces that they either had to pay for or farm for for weeks.

Although, I wonder if they could convince a GM to roll them back.
