Most popular keylogger modules aren't actually keyloggers at all... They're DLLs injected into the WoW process that fires when you hit "Login" after entering your username/password.

There is also a HTTP/S module but that uses a filter that attempts to steal all HTTP/S passwords (e.g. bank accounts, etc).

TLDR: This "advice" does nothing. Except prove how ignorant the general populous is.

Or if the programmer of the keylogger is smart, he adds a combo that when CTRL + C is pressed, it logs the clipboard.

This. Any scrub not coding in a Clipboard logger deserves to die in a fire.
