    Retardin's Vindication

Every paladin knows that Vindication it's useless while levelling cause it reduces 20% from mob's max health(if the mob got 1000hp max and u've already hit him and he got to 700hp and the vindication proc'd the mob will have 700/800hp).

But now, I've find a way to make an use of it during levelling. At the beginning of the fight without even touching the mob with your weapon he'll get Vindication. How is that possible? It's pretty simple. What do you need:

    1. A paladin of course
    2. 1-2talent points in Vindication(retribution spec)
    3. A new place for Hand of Reckoning on hotbar

Basically, just go to a mob, click him, use Hand of Reckoning on him and Vindication will proc.

    How is this helping you?
Let's say a mob has 1000hp. If you hit him dirrectly without Vindication proc for 300dmg, the mob will have 700/1000hp. If you hit him first with Hand of Reckoning, Vindication will proc, the mob will have 800hp -300dmg(your hit) = 500/800hp left.

I hope I've made myself clear. If you have any questions please post here.

Screenshotthe mob had 1221hp initially - I only have 1 point in Vindication atm)

If it works on elites (that can have vindication) it might be 20% of 40k hp or even 120k.

    This is Fail.

Vindication reduces the targets attributes = its stamina, not its hit points
and the stamina of a mob doesnt change if u hit it, just the current hp

K!rby, this is of no matter to the exploit. 20% less health = 20% less health.

it changes only the total hp... but the exploit stands in applying vindication on a mob without damaging him, and you would start from 800hp not from 1000hp like the mob initially had...

My friend was complaining about 'the mob getting healed all the way after he brought it down to 80%"...Lets say the mob has 100 health for simplicitys sake. When you bring it to 80 health itll appear as if its at full health, but itll be at 80/80 instead of 80/100.

Point is, it doesnt actually damage the mobs health for 20%, it just shows 20% reduced maximum after you do 20% damage to them.

You didn't understand... When the mob has hp full 100/100hp, u hit him with Hand of Reckoning - 1dmg, and Vindication will proc and the mob will get to 80/80hp... and to kill it u ll have to do only 80dmg not 100... yes... if u don't use hand of reckoning at the beginning and u'll crit the mob for 30(100total hp) and vindication procs the mob will have 70/80hp... but if you use Hand of Reckoning at the beginning and you crit the mob for 30dmg the mob will have 50/80hp... try it and you'll see
