[Not intended]Mount in Dalaran Arena

Well, you cant use any mounts in dalaran arena, except Black Qiraji Resonating Crystal. I know not much people have it, but still it is not intended to be able to mount in this arena, so i posted it there) Btw, you still can get the Scarab Lord title and mount, there are several servers, where gates are not open yet, all new servers where transfer is closed for first 3 months have their gates closed, so you can make the scepter on your server and then transfer to another server with closed gates. Gates will NOT open automatically after transfers are avalible. Hope it helps someone.

P.S. To dbalauca: Why not? I think screenshot of me standing on my mount in Dalaran arena will be enough to prove. I wont play any rated today anymore, so i hope i will be called on skirmish soon. Hope it wont get fixed in next patch.

Well, at first you should complete questchain to get Scepter of the Shifting Sands. Then you transfer to server with closed gates, get war effort event completed and bang a gong.

It is easier now, and also rewards are worth making this questline)

P.S. Oh and btw War Effort event is a server event, where Aliance and Horde have to collect supplies for War with Ahn'Qiraj.

Dude, i have got this mount 2 days ago. Check your information before saying something. And yesterday blizz made a new US server with gates closed. You should check news sometimes.
P.S. Oh and btw Armory link Thats a guild on Lich King ruRU server. All people in this guild are Scarab Lords and have their Scarab Lord achievement done 18/01/09. Thats 2 days ago. I am among these people(not in this guild though) who got their mounts, so i advice you to really check information before posting something like that.

You can't get the mount on a server where the gates have already been opened. On new servers (which you can not transfer to for 3 months after creation) you complete the war efforts, and the scepter chain.

After the first person bangs the gong there is 10 hours for others to bang the gong and get the title/mount.

There was a bug during BC that closed the gates on many servers and allowed lots of players that had scepters rotting in the bank to go and complete the quest and get the title/mount.

This mount/title is still very possible to get, you just have to start on a new server, or the easiest way is to transfer to a server that has not completed it after its 3 month start.

Dug up old post on wow forums hoping for some explanation..

It seems blizz changed there minds, some time ago a group of friends and i were looking to new servers in order to get this mount, but a GM told us that new servers had gates already open as default and so we couldnt get the mount. I went to forums to check and got the same message.. seems like this isnt the case anymore. Sorry for any confusion, but i was misinformed. I had "checked my information" so no need to be hostile.

Can confirm this, however the questchain to get the scepter is the longest questchain in the entire game, i advice you to think carefully before starting this chain.

For those who are EU and are intressed in this, a new realm opened not to long ago [EU] New English Realm - Saurfang. Transfers are still closed, afaik war effort is still not completed
