cool exploit, cleared trash alright but couldnt solo the boss, he kills through that bone armor way fast and my mana from all the spell steals just goes down the drain

That's why you need to keep all 3 cavaliers on you, so you always have a bone shield to spellsteal ( should spellsteal one every 10 sec or so or he'll just hit through it )

yeah, It seems if i dont keep putting one up every other cast he kills me. but got him to 40% that time will keep trying

If you go under the slim at the other end they wont reset, but it doesn't help much cause you wont be able to get to any bosses unless you already have the doors open.

Parog, you've missed something my friend. I took out the entire Spider wing tonight with this exploit as well, including Maexxina.

I did this by clearing the entire Military wing, then pulling the cavaliers out by swimming under the outer ring to the other wings. You can not do Thaddius (Doors are shut both ways), nor can you do Loatheb's wing (Cant get up that platform). You can, however, do spider. This requires you to clear quite a bit and is time consuming. I tried going the Loatheb route, but i found i had a huge difficulty taking out the gargoyles. I decided to clear north past Thaddius's room and across to spider.

Maexxina's room is closed off, but you CAN still open Doodad Door #2. This gives you access to Grand Widow. (Killed her by clearing her room and simply burning her down. The knockback is annoying as hell, but it wasn't a difficult fight. I did not kill the adds around her and tanked the enrage for extra damage).

After she dies, you have access to Maexxina. You do NOT have to kill the first boss of spider wing. I took out Maexxina by tanking two DK's on me and bursting her down. I would flamestrike every other spawn of spiders and spellsteal the armor right before web wrap. You do not get cocooned due to you being the tank.) This fight went well, no major issues.

After that, i took the portal out and made the long trek back down with refreshed deathknights (Full mana again), through spider wing and took out the first boss. Locust Swarm wasnt an issue with the fire silence talent, as the DK's will strangle you every chance you get. You will be immune. Spellsteal right before locust just to be safe though.

With Arachnid and Military down, it leads me to wonder if a mage could do all four wings. DK's CAN be in other wings, so apparently there is a trigger at the entrance to Military that resets them. Would this same trigger be in effect if you trained all the death knights out of the cleared Arachnid wing instead of Military? If so, you could indeed do all the wings.

And... Finally, with the method above - would the death knights path up if you jumped in the Sapph portal (Assuming all wings are down). I doubt this, but i figure there is likely a way to manage the other two wings which have yet to be conquered.

And... You know you want to help get me out of leecher status. Congrats mages on yet another wing available for solo.

EDIT: I have screenshots - and a friend of mine has it on FRAPS. I can give you proof when i use my MS paint skills to edit my name out.
EDIT2: You swim under man, you can access all four wings. They didnt evade even once for me tonight, and i had to die like nine times. Im headed back when i get some rest tomorrow to attempt to access other wings as mentioned above. I'll post results.

Well, you could definitely model edit so there would be a clear path between the wings / bosses. but the DK's wouldn't follow. My question is, If you didn't go to the inner ring, where all 4 wings merge, then how did you get to the spider wing? They evade when you go in the ooze and eventually reset after chasing after you for a while once you get on a flat surface.

Elaborate a bit more and I'll put you in that first post with credits and a link to this post. You've got me interested.

Did some more testing - it will take a while before i can give definitive results - but the death knights stop RIGHT at the entrance to the wing and reset. This is something i do not believe will happen if you path them through Arachnid and out.

The inner quarters respawn even with the wing down it seems, so i will have to fully reclear around before i get to spawn-free inner Arachnid.

If you feel pro, try it out. I wont get to it till tommorow at least. I would assume you could pull four DK's - Using two for bone shield on the pull and not damaging two of them (Thus they dont use really any mana at all). Then you would use the two fresh DK's at this point to mow through another wing.

I would if I had a Mage, but I don't. If someone would be kind enough to lend me an 80 mage that's on an account you are not currently using, I could test it out. I will also make it up to you.

and Fuzz, can you just take a few screenshow of where you can get to the Arachnid wing from the military wing? just zoom in and toggle interface.

Finally took the first boss down last night after he killed me when he was at 15,000 health.

What I did for anyone else having problems is

Summon images,
shoot and pom the death knight.
Blink and run,
when he puts bone shield up, go invisible.

Eat and drink to full mana.
Steal the bone shield.

Pull the boss with the death knights behind you and flame strike them down, every flame strike refreshing bone shield.

Then for the boss rotate between imp scorches and arcane blasts. I was doing 1 each then spell steal. It seemed if I went passed about 6 or 7 seconds without a new shield I ended up dying at times.

Evocate first, then use mana crystals and then evocate again when its back up. I also used a potion in there

The misses seemed to be the biggest issue so hit rating is nice to have

After clearing the Military Wing plus Grand Widow, it is indeed true that this has been hotfixed.

The boneshield/armor buff can no longer be spellstolen.
