if i recall correctly, being in a raid group doesnt even allow you to get exp!
thats the way i got my 19 twink some gear, being in raid and doing instances :P

Second, the way the first level 79 got rolled back to 70 before 80 was from mob tagging. Go into an instance, leave the group, tag mobs, group kills mobs, rejoin group. You get XP as if you solo'd the mobs.

Yes, I saw the video. GMs are normal people though, and such, have conflicting interests. Also, not all of them know all of the rules to the game. They're merely in place to keep people happy and prevent exploitation. I guess one GM's lack of knowledge caused Athene some upset, but people make mistakes. GMs are kind of like cops: They might not know everything, but they'll tell you they do to keep you happy.
