Let me give you an exemple it seems that the people posted here have a bare minimum on thinking and reading.
Exemple1: THE EXPLOIT: Let's say your running around in and a boomkin druid uses fearie fire on you. he is at a distance and it would look impossible to reach him. You use the skill shadowmeld and go into stealth. The druid goes ZOMGWTF? I HAZ USED FEARIE FIRE ON HIM, HOW HE STLEATHZ? and runs around, wait till the fearie fire runs out OR when he runs right into your lap. ZOMG EXPLOIT INVISIBILITY WITH FEARIE FIRE?


Exemple2: THE MACRO -> lets say your running around and a lock finds puts his dots on you and ur VANISH IS ON A COOLDOWN. You use Cloak of shadow to remove the DoTs(NO FEARIE FIRE, OK??) and cast Shadowmeld, SHADOWMELD WILL BREAK ON MOVE, BUT OH NO IM OUT OF COMBAT, SHOULD I USE STEALTHZZZ? Putting this in a macro WITH NO SHARED COOLDOWN can make this instant if u stand still for a second. Greetz noobs

Ok, let me try to rephrase what you're trying to say.

Shadowmeld can be used under Faerie Fire effect and Cloak of Shadow has nothing to do with this exploit.

Am I right?

shadowmeld = not stealth.
Therefore you can use it while ff'd.
working as intended.

Shadowmeld can't be used while Faerie Fired, I don't think.

CoS removes the faerie fire, and if you say this isn't an exploit why did you post it here? One last thing. Grow up and stop naming calling. VERY immature.

Hi everyone,

I've been using this litle exploit since 3.0.2! It's handy when fighting against druids. As rogue (and all other rogues out there) we hate their fearie fire. This makes the character unable to go stealth or invisible, but with our beloved shadowmeld you are able to do this! Thus making u invisible and making it easier to run away (/hide)from fights, etc..
Also im just giving a tip away for night elf rogues.
When your trying to run away and you are in combat with vanish on cooldown, just make a macro like this:
/Cast Cloak of Shadows
/Cast Shadowmeld
/Cast Stealth(rank4)
You will have to stand still for 1 sec to make the shadowmeld effect work and with Cloak of Shadows insuring you that ur stealth will not break from Damage over Time spells. The shadowmeld takes you out of combat and voila you are in stealth!

If the druid is feral (like mine) you'll be bleeding, which will make you unstealth again

This is an good tip / exploit (?) and I understood it on the first reading. Forget about CoS, please and read on.

Shadowmeld is a stealth effect.

Stealth effects break on damage and Faerie Fire, which prevents stealthing.

Shadowmeld can be used while affected by Faerie Fire.

Shadowmeld also takes you out of combat.

Out of combat means you can use Stealth (the rogue skill)

It's that simple. He just added that if you have DoTs or any other things on you, you could use CoS to remove them, Shadowmeld and Stealth, when your Vanish is on cooldown, aka. a free Vanish.
