I posted something similar to this as a thread called "Damage Shield".... i guess i got unlucky and got a bunch of leechers to look at the post and do nothing.

Also works with Pallies using ret aura and holy shield as long as you don't initiate an attack. Took Hala with one other person last night unflagged. They bombed, while I holy shield + ret aura aoe tanked the guards kiting them into the fire bombs that the other person dropped.

That's old news, it's not an attack though. That also works with molten armor (mage) and thorns (druid).

Still waiting on confirmation from a reputable source.

The only "common sense" is that you'll attack back when you dodge. There is absolutely no "common sense" in it not flagging you.
