Extra Person in the Instance

Friday night my guild went into BT as usual and we start clearing. We get to Shade and a mage wants in and we have to swap people. There was some confusion and another mage who thought he was the one coming in, messaged me and asked me for a summon. Now hes in the raid but in group 6 as a standby along with the other mage who was actually the one that was supposed to come in for shade.

Now Im gonna call them Mage A and Mage B.

Mage B was in Shat and asked me for a summon

Minute later here comes mage A and Mage B to where we are standing and buffing. We buff up and Im dropping healthstones and someone says hey who dropped for Mage B?

We began looking at the raid and to our suprise theres 26 people in the instance. Nope that cant be right can it? Were scratching out heads and start doing manual counting of toons. yep 26 people all here in the instance.

We were like WTF and we pulled and killed the boss. We start debating how it happened and heres what we came up with.

Mage A walked into the instance and was loading in at the same time as Mage B accepted the summon. Somehow they both were able to load in.

I logged in today and wanted to try to repeat the process. So we formed a raid group which took forever because its our offday and not many online. We didnt want to include outside guildies in case we can repeat this and we dont want the server know we can do this.

We finally got a group of 11 people and 9 of us entered karazhan. the 10th waited outside the instance along with the 11th.
I summoned the 10th and he clicked accept at the same time as the 11th.

We tried 4 times and it didnt work but I wanted to try with the summoned person standing in shat like the mage on Friday night. 2 of the people in our group were a couple though and they had to leave so we didnt get to try anymore.

I think its possible to repeat this and I dont think it was a onetime glitch. Imagine if we bring an extra healer in every raid without losing a dps spot. It would be freaking awesome. Hopefully tonight I can get another group together and try this in every way imaginable until I find out exactly what happened and am able to repeat it. I have 55 shards in my bags and just need a group to work with me until we duplicate it.

Also, I have had the same thing happen, but we were in Kara, it wasn't with a mage, it was my rouge and another rogue. We were both summoned, I went afk waiting for a summon, got the summon and as I came back they had already replaced me, I accepted the summon and I was in the instance, and so was the other rogue...

I don't know how to repeat it but this helps I guess with repeating the process because now you know its not just limited to entering and summoning at the same time.

I am pretty sure it might just be a freak accident.

just did some more testing. Took us 17 soulshards and it finally worked again. Its time consuming but on progression nights when we need an extra healer in Sunwell, this is gonna be awesome. Just have to farm more shards, but we bring 2 locks to raid so me and him can chain summon until we get the extra person inside.
I honestly believe this has to be an exploit as blizzard cannot in anyway mean for this to happen.

same, sounds like it'd work. I can't do raids unfortunatly but if the limit is 25 does that mean only 25 can go in (normally ofc) and then the 26th person is still in the grp but can't just walk in? coz for a minute then I was thinking there was a grp limit of 25 so the 26th can't join the grp xD

I can upload a screenshot tonight after our raid. However I dont think you can prove anything with a SS. In a raid you can have 40 people listed, so if I show you 26 then its really not proving anything. Only way I could SS for proof would be to ask my guildies to line up in rows to take a SS and then you could count 26 people in the picture. However if they found out I am posting this they would probably boot me, lol.

It works though. If anyone doubts it, just form a raid with a lock and try it out. Im sure a lot of you raid, I cant be the only one.

Anyway, Im done with this topic, I just thought I'd share something but again I get some much negativity everytime I post here.

I dont really understand it either, as I posted the Dire maul rare spawn exploit that allows you to farm unlimited blue drops. Soon as I posted that here, within 3 days it spread to every site on the internet with multiple authors taking credit. You can still check the date though on this site and see mine was posted here first.
Then I post this, and within 24 hours it has now also spread with multiple authors again claiming they found it, but as always you can check the date of this post and see I was the first to post it here.
For all I try to give you guys, all I get it copycats and negativity. I even supplied this site with a RP guide I wrote on my website and again negativity.

Maybe next time I'll post an exploit on how to hide in the bushes in a BG and then everyone will praise my leetness *Rolls eyes*
