The "n" has something to do with the newline character (often escaped as \n). I suspect you need to hack game communications to do this but I don't know.
update:
I tried changing my name to an invalid one after shutting off my internet modem, I still got an error message meaning the name check is client side!

Hold Alt Key + 0160 to gain the spacing.
(\(\ (._.) (')(')_)


(\(\*(._.)*(')(')_)
Is the actualy typing in its self. So everywhere you see a * you would hold alt + 0160 which is only after the (._.) section
