Also people whom like myself have 2 or windows for both chat and system messages will red flag things like this. Rolls turn up as a system message while emotes are chat based, so big no no there, and you "may" lose the item afterward if people report you for it and blizz checks the logs. I will admit though, good attempt to cheat the system, I wish it did work :confused:.

it's not client side. It's an addon that changes the color for everyone when YOU type. They will have their original color when they type but they will see your text in the color that you chose

its been a long time but there was a macro script that would alter your text color.. and no its not client side only. I played with it for hours when i first found it then got to many people reporting me mostlikely and ended with a 3 hour ban.

Ya theres is a way to change color, but some how you can see it cus when i was doing heroic with my guild a guy did this and every one said come on stop cheating!
and yes it was yellow ( i think they knew that he cheated before so maybe they spotted him this way)

yes you can change the color of text so that other people can see it, but 10/10 you are booted from the server before seeing the result.

Well I don't necessarily believe he can do it, and this is a useless thread if he cannot explain how anyways.

We need the hack/addon to change colours (and I'm not sure if there's a working one to date).

Unless this GM is totally off, this seems to be a client-side only thing:

"The sender can't change the color for the receiver though, to my knowledge.

Each player can change the default color of a specific type of message, however, that type of message should always appear in the color that they've selected (or the default, of course). "

GM is hiding this because they don't want thousands of people doing it. But in his post he even mentions "we are looking into reports of roll spoofing" and that's what this is.

This isn't client side, and it's the easiest thing in the world to do. As far as getting caught, when you are in a random PUG people aren't paying too much attention. They see a yellow text say roll and they believe it. Out of 100 people maybe one has a seperate chat box for system message and general, and out of them 10% would notice it, so its like 1 out of 1000 chance. But then you have 1000 sunmotes, each costing 1,000g. That's 1 million gold before you get caught, and if your smart that 1 million gold is shipped away to a safe place.

And even when one person out of 1000 finally sees you, so what? First he has to report it, and most are too lazy. Second blizzard has to investigate and decide what to do. There will be no evidence that you did it 1000 times, only once. So maybe you get a warning if they even report you.

See my screenshot. The guild master is telling he is going to kick me because I win all the sunmotes. lol. They know something is wrong but can't figure it out. But they only know because I did it a hundred times to the same people. If you do it in pugs, its always new noobs to exploit.
