Ok, now i might be totally wrong with how this new arena works...and well everything like that, so if I am, feel free to correct me....


PersonA and PersonB lower their team rating to like 1200.

PersonA and PersonB both have team rating of 1200.

PersonA quits and rejoins team.

PersonA now has PR of 1500 on a 1200 team.

They play games...which by blizzard rules or whatever, should be played around the....1300 bracket? 1350 maybe?

Anyway...

Let's say they win 10 points...are they each getting the same amount of PR?

As in...

PersonB with 1200 PR (1200 TR)
PersonA with 1500 PR (1200 TR)

They win a match worth 10 points.

PersonB = 1210 PR (1210 TR)
PersonA = 1510 PR (1210 TR)

???

Now when i said this to my partner, he prolly did the same thing your doing right now....ummm but you need 1700 TR not just 1700 PR....


Ok...so they continue to play games like this...eventually raising PersonA's PR to 1700, even though his TR is like 1500.

PersonA join's a 3's team with 1700 rating...

He now has a team rating with 1700...and a personal rating of 1700....even though they arnt on the same teams....


I'm gonna confirm it or unconfirm it tomorrow if someone can't do it before me. Sorry for the useless post if it's stupid, but well yeah.

im pretty sure this wouldnt work even tho its a good idea. because if your PR is higher then your TR i think you lose points even if you win, or you gain very little. But still cool idea

im pretty sure this wouldnt work even tho its a good idea. because if your PR is higher then your TR i think you lose points even if you win, or you gain very little. But still cool idea

And thats what I was afraid of, like even if you win you'll lose PR just to even out your TR

Did you read the part where I said, on Team1 you have a PR of 1700 but a TR of 1500... Where as on Team2 you have a PR of 1500 but a TR of 1700 therefor infact having a PR of 1700 and TR of 1700 just on 2 different teams...so basically, all we need is for someone to see what happens when...

PersonA has 1200 PR/TR
PersonB has 1500 PR/ 1200 TR

and they win a game...

Doesn't work I have tried... If you win you well gain TR but the one with 1500 won't get it because TR is lower than PR.

I tried today. They made it so the person getting the boost needs to be within ~100 AR of the TR/PR of the person queing to get a point change. It works to the point of ~50 higher AR than TR as I got with experimenting.

This is not true at all what you're saying here. If you are (in this situation) at 1500 personal rating and your team at 1300 rating you would get maybe 1 or 2 points for a win so around 1500 rating your rating personal will almost be equal to your team rating.

IF ur PR is 1500 and TR is 1200, and u play games in the (as said by OP) 1300 bracket, ur TR will only get like 1 rating per win.
